I paid 30K AD for four Ebon dyes. Applied them to each piece and the armor looks exactly the same colors.
Is this bugged or what?

All the elemental infused armors come with a pre-picked dye scheme, which can be changed. You can't see this in Gateway, only in the game, so I don't know what packs, but the Drowcaraft even varies by class. You can check your crafting menu to see what colour they were supposed to turn out, and use the dye comparer to view that next to Ebon Darkness.
For example, I know my GWF's armor will be Pride of the Dragonflight when upgraded, so I dyed his Dusk boots in Doomguide, which is close enough to be complimentary.

Did you preview it before you apply the dye? If you did, was the colour the same as now?

Armor pieces in their un-upgraded state aren't dyed.
Armor pieces that are upgraded with elemental infusion in black ice shaping are already dyed when finished. For example, every piece of Elemental Alliance has Ethereal Skies already applied to it when you claim it from crafting (or I guess pick up from a T2 dungeon?). You can still change this if you don't like it.
Drowcraft armor is kind of black and maroon, from what I've seen so far.
Elemental Drowcraft armors have different dyes depending on class. GWF is Pride of the Dragonflight. I think DC is whichever Dragonflight dye is mostly green.
You can see what dye your armor is going to turn out by viewing the finished item tooltip on the game's crafting menu, and you can also preview the item from here to see how it looks on. This information doesn't show up on Gateway, so I can't look it up right now.
The link I posted is a dye comparer. You can pick different dyes and view them side-by-side to see how they look.
Without actually being able to look it up myself right now, I am guessing your Elemental Drowcraft was pre-dyed with Ebon Darkness or something very similar, so the dye you applied doesn't look like a change.

The elemental armor said they were dyed Dragonflight or something with dragon in the name. I then bought ebon dye because it said black and silver, and i didn't like the brown with black trim. I dyed all four pieces but nothing changed except now the name says Custom Dye on each piece.
If there was someway to preview the dye before actually doing it I couldnt figure it out, so i just dyed them and hoped for the best. Now i lost 30K AD because the armor looks exact as before, brown with black trim.

When you go to apply the dye it does preview it ...
It has different effects depending on whether or not you apply it to primary/secondary/accent.
edit: Nvm it's a dye pack. Still would show when you go to apply it. Also has the color palette on the right.

Cruelty of the Dragonflight is what rogue Drowcraft has applied, and it is almost indistinguishable from Ebon Darkness. If you load Cruelty and Ebon into the dye comparer link, you can see how close they are.
You're right, Ebon Darkness has a very misleading tooltip, as I wouldn't call any of the colours in it "silver". It's absolutely brown. (cough... @strumslinger )
Still, dye does preview on a selected item when you load it into the change appearance window. The palette tab is only viewable if you select from the dropdown, not if you drag it. Also, until it actually gets patched out of the Zen market, you can view how some dye looks on items in the store images. (This should really be enabled in the tradebar interface unless dye gets added to the gear preview UI. It's very sad that it isn't currently an option.)
And now that you know about the dye comparer, you can preview every colour in an interface that's easier to see, although it won't exactly show how it would look on your stuff since item texture affects that. But it would clue you in to things like one pack being nearly identical to another.
Maybe it was previewing it, but because Ebon happens to look exact to Dragonflight i couldn't see any change and didn't realize there was a preview being shown.
