The nights are drawing in, winter is coming, and it is time to celebrate the Simril Festival once again! This year, we have a few more things up our sleeve. http://www.arcgames.com/en/games/neverwinter/news/detail/9695273

    I posted elsewhere that I'm hoping Simril Lightcrafting for this event also had an update, because the professions are a big part of the Winter Festival too! In professions we can craft "Faintly Glowing Citrine" the worth 25 refinement points - please remove those stones from the game because the benefit isn't worth the effort, which sucks. Please consider allowing us to make a stone worth like 1500 RP, honestly it'd have to be at least 1500 for me to even consider doing it. You only give us access to a single 1x [Master of Lights] so...... idk make the RP BoP? Do something, please, we beg of you!

    Also, this is our 3rd Winter Fest and we can still only have 1 Master of Lights-------- This is no way to accommodate and reward your veteran players. Consider allowing us to obtain an additional Master of Lights each and every year.

    "beckylunatic" Gateway AH should have column headers to sort by buyout, bid, end time, quantity, etc. These disappeared iirc with the module launch. It's obnoxious.

    I can't wait! I am so freaking excited for Simril Festival! It's my absolute favorite event! :)

    The demon ride is something even though it's only speedy at the Winterfest. >:)

    Nothing brings more satisfaction than the screams of little goblins and powrie. All that's missing is slaughtering dwarves by the millions.

    One of the devs said somewhere that they weren't removing anything from the Winter Festival, but they were adding more stuff, so rest assured.

    Dwarves! NO! My new Dwarf GF does not want to be slaughtered! She wants to slaughter some demons.

    Mine too! I love all the companions, the overall gift-giving concept (although invariably the rarest companions ended up bound to an alt because of it lol), the transmutes, and the lore. Not a huge fan of racing, I'm just no good maneuvering, but I feel like I'm gifting 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places to someone else, so it's ok.

    I know! I'm sad to say that recently, I'm looking at news releases about "improvements" and reading possible negativity into each bullet point. "New artifact" tied into lightcrafting; please for the love of the gods, don't make this another Masquerade of Liars-type of btc, max level 60 artifact that can't even be used for refining. Better - at least make it bta, so it could be banked for a future alt to use.

    And demons, refugees, and collecting stuff to "help create a duergar demon sled" - please, please let this be part of the Monsters on Ice thing, not an HE. Maybe it's stuff on the Stronghold - which we all know is being decorated for the festival. I don't know how I feel about all that, really, I'm sure those without a guild/stronghold will be feeling snubbed if there's another reward gated behind a stronghold.

    And more fish. Because you have to fill up that inventory with something! :tongue:

    Regardless, I'll be happy to have something semi-grindy, but fun with huge rewards. And here's hoping I get some great gifts this year. :smiley:

    Oh Please, please and pretty please say you are giving us permanent snowballs this year. water balloons are great, but we need snowballs please!

    It isn't it bad enough that players are breezing right past the HEs that belong to zones to fight demons, but now you have to drag them into what ought to be a happy, wonderfilled event - a break from everyday activities.

    This tooltip is from the current preview build. There will be multiple options for collecting the blacklead. Players without a stronghold and below level 70 can fish or do Demons on Ice. However, drop rates may make some sources less grindy than others.

    Neverwinter Tools for evaluating boons, mounts, dyes, etc.

    @strumslinger Last year I reported a bug with the vendors in the winter festival. Since I don't want to resurrect a necroed thread, could you pass along this info to see if it could be addressed this year - maybe before the festival goes live?
    Both fishermen vendors (the one on the docks and the one by the main campfire) only pay half price for items. So if you sell them your treasure items from the bags which you got from fishing, you're getting half as much gold as you will anywhere else. The two winter festival vendors will pay full price, however.

    FORCING the majority of your player base to play 4 mod old dungeons and trial will have a bad result on player base
    Changes are getting so bad i would rather prefer no new changes (RIP ICE FISHING in winter fest)

    There should be another blog post coming along soon that discusses rewards more specifically. Simril Lightcrafting hasn't been abandoned, it's getting new and updated recipes with a focus on ease of use and better rewards.

    15 for starlight parcels, but can probably travel there and at least try the events fresh from the tutorial.
