Rank 5 Experimentation Alchemy task

I have run this over 50 times and not received a scroll of alchemical knowledge. Is this normal ?

There is a chance to not get Alchemical Knowledge, but in my experience over 13 characters it's around 50%. So something is wrong here.

Make sure you're doing the correct rank of experimentation. Check your professions bag to see if you already have enough scrolls. Check the wiki to see if you have already unlocked all the recipes for that rank (for rank 5 you need to unlock Potion of Lesser Healing and Lesser Tidespan Potion.

So I have to unlock every single task ? Not just the ones that create the items needed for the experimentation ? I have checked my list and all Rank 5 Tasks are unlocked. Experimentation just keeps producing some unstable potion over and over...

If you have all the recipes you can unlock at that tier, further experiments will never make knowledge, so you might as well stop trying. You should obtain knowledge from the tasks that unlock recipes, sufficient to attain the next level. If you definitely don't have them, that's a pretty bad bug, but also one I've not heard of before.
