It's been up there for weeks. Changing it randomly would constitute false advertising.

Have they really changed prices for a sale? Or just done stuff like messing up the account wide companion locks?

Events announced in the calendar were changed several times.
And by the introduction of the Dragenborn pack they offered a discount to the pack on presale but put it live for the same price...

So, I will just believe it when it's live.

There is nothing thay says they have to honor anything they post. They proved that well with the account companion proof reading issue that they still havent corrected after like 6 months.

Do not count on anything till it actually happens.

Personally i have 5k that i got for around 390. I dont see it going much below that and if the sale fails i can recoup. Thinking about doing shad campaign in my healer...cause it aint happening otherwise. Beyond that...shared slots, not sure on the rest.

It was actually worse than that, they also didn't tell anyone it would be available for zen. So people paid actual money to preorder it 'on sale', when anyone who bought it with zen would get bonus zen for buying 75 dollars' worth at a time. Anyone who preordered it came out WORSE than people who got it when it launched.

That said, I think it's probably a legit sale. That's near Black Friday, isn't it?

I had some extra Zen that I sold when I saw the price on the exchange up to 489. Glad I did since it's now back down around 400.

I really hope this sale goes through. I will be buying a good amount of Zen to buy a lot of things that I would not otherwise buy. I won't be purchasing said Zen until I see that the sale is actually going to happen. Would be nice if they did some sort of special on Zen too, but I'm not holding my breath.

Anyway, my list includes...

1. The 6 months of VIP to get me to Rank 12 (Only time I've bought VIP otherwise is when I had the 15% off any item coupon)
2. Shared bank slots
3. Scourge Warlock booster pack (I want the Erinyes)
4. Bags bags bags
5. Smallish things that will be incredibly cheap like retraining/renaming tokens - Can't hurt to have them.
6. Couple of 10x keys

Yes.
And the same goes for the epic artifact and ring in that pack.
You can claim the items with every existing/new character on that account from the rewards claim agent in PE.

I didn't realize the bag in that was account-wide. I have a few alts, so that would be great. Thanks for the suggestion!

...also, the Ring is really helpful when fighting Dragons.

All Dragons - ToD campaign Dragons, WoD zerg-o-rama-circle Herald Dragons, Lostmouse, SH Dragons, and even up to and including Tiamat.

My list:

2. Bahamut's Champion Booster Pack, account wide rare healer companion

The companion from the Bahamut pack is not a healer - she has a confusion ability, and one that increases your team's crit while debuffing the enemy's; Priestess of Sehanine Moonbow

She's still a great companion, just don't purchase the pack thinking you'll get a healer.

As for the Guardian of Neverwinter pack - while the dire wolf is pretty cool, I think the Knight of the Feywild pack offers more, if you don't already have it...

not a healer companion either, but at least this one can provide a temp. HP buff, and this pack comes with a Greater Bag of Holding and an Adventurer's Helper Pack.

FYI, the Dedicated Squire companion from the Oathbound Paladin Booster Pack actually has 2 healing powers, but one of them requires you be very close to the enemy he strikes, and the other is on a longish timer...

Well, the Dedicated Squire is ok for melee characters, but for others... not so much.
Going through the content of those packs in the store, there is really one missing with a decent "range" rare or maybe even epic account-wide healer companion.
I'm not sure, why they haven't come up with packs for all classes yet... that would at least bring some fresh content to the shop.

Well, they didn't create class packs for the GF, DC, TR, CW, or GWF, and I don't think they plan to...

And that is something i don't understand... it wouldn't take that much time to come up with something fitting for each class.
It would be something nice for every player, and this would produce some extra income for the company as well.

While I agree with your sentiment in theory, I don't know if such packs would produce the kind of sales figures they'd be looking for, considering these classes aren't "new" or anything. Perhaps if they do some sort of revamp of the classes in the future, such a pack could be included as part of their "relaunch".

Well, there is the option to create a new pack with every new module with different account-wide items in it...
And to throw in a class pack into the process at the same time.

Except I need an English version, since in Russian it is unclear whether items in "items" category (no pun intended) are for sale or this applies to all goods in zen market.

NEWS FLASH: There will be a sale, because Black Friday practically demands some kind of sale. The sale may not ultimately take the form that was in the calendar though.

The thing is, Cryptic have probably realised what a lot of real world retailers have come to understand about Black Friday sales. Once everybody knows it is happening they stop spending in the few weeks/days before the sale so that they can get significantly more on the day of the sale. It wouldn't surprise me if Zen shop sales have fallen to practically zero since news of the 50% off sale became widespread. However, given the bad feeling that already exists between a large percentage of the player base and Cryptic over the things they have done in recent months, they would be ill-advised to cancel the event at this late stage. Player anger towards Cryptic could reach new highs if they do.
