MOST people get to entry level I level and think they can finish everything in game.. you cannot, which was the whole point of the thread.
Most of us explained over and over again.. its not the i level, its how you build yourself. when you subtract i level gear that has NO real value, you will get down to the level you truly are. Right now most toons in basic progression will not be finishing most t2s until around 2.4 i level or so. But you definitely do not need much more then that to do them. Any group in the 2.5k range should have no issue with any of the t2s, if you just have the basic, healer, tank, 3 dps mode groups.
You cannot simply get to 2k i level and finish everything in game, when 2-3-400 of that is just enchants and stats that have no intrinsic value to your class.
People are complaining that ELOL is too hard.. !!!!!!!!!
We explained over and over about how to get past scorps and all we here is the same complaints.. even in a weaker group.. or no heals/tanks.. JUST kite one of them!
There are ways to finish these things.. you simply cant make them any easier then they are.. and NO you do not need mythics or legendaries, or bis or anything to do them.
Lol i been kiting scorps since days one, except now most times with properly gear'd people just kill em, an the thread reads how much is left in the game. now until you take a real video of new tunes with the basic gear that takes you to item level 2k pls like those new players who are complaining,refrain from posting video's of players who have every boon, legendaries, hidden myths, that are removed for begining of the video, an put back on an call it a 2k run. The fact is if it was the case where it was true that 2k was enough why is ligit channel only for specific people and not include all who are in the game, it because of the fact that without specific gear, boons,enchants etc ya'll dont want to play with those who fail. Kinda ironic. Was part of that channel for a while until i realized that when i joined it was so i could do thing ligit, but quit the channel as i found out that wasn't how it is . OH an as i said 2k, not 2.5 k, etc, as most 2k players have barely even got their rotation figured out, the fact of where to get boons an how important they are etc. So ah ya get real 2k players an make ur vid, not 3 year old players with full everything just remove certain items for the sake of the vid until the actual fighting starts. While i agree with most of the stuff you say @silverkelt , in this matter i have to agree with @ crainium.
@silverkelt you surely remember we were both on Alpha Team for Mod7 PVP. You must remember, that a certain TR on the bug test team could only kill me with Dev Magic... I also remember fighting a very highly praised GWF from game, who is by the way a poster on several websites, who was in BiS gear and run from my TR with 2.3K. Big LOL He came back a few seconds after i chased him in the woods, he switched on game console and beat me into the dirt.
My biggest problem with releases since Mod 4 is the testing itself or better said, how it is done. Whenever i meet a professional or a volunteer tester, he or she is mostly in BiS gear and when going gets tough they switched on game console aka Dev Magic and only take a brief look into a part of the game.
When i got my invitation to Alpha i made sure to enter with a really medium toon and she was medium in every aspect. People in my opinion ruined some part of the test, when they showed up in BiS gear and with nearly 3 year old toons. What does a BiS toon test on a game?
Seeing these artificial 2K posts is a bad joke at it's best. Really everybody, who is a long time player and knows the guys behind these super clean lab tests knows, these are well geared players and have tons of mounts, boons etc. all the shiny stuff or even more.
I agree it can be done, but it is nearly impossible with PUGs under real life like circumstances, who are everyday Joes and started game recently and are real 2K. While being broken too, i liked Gear Score much more, Item level is very much deceiving, you can't see many things, which are a very important part of the actual toon itself.
Other thing, seeing these Twitch or YouTube videos always makes me laugh, it only fools rookies, most of us know the posters are normally experienced players, who get lots of freebies and/or other stuff as endorsement and some of them aren't even actual average Joes, but journalists and other guys/girls from the industry. Excuse me, but it's rather tasteless.
Ok, i have another concern i wanted to discuss here. I had a terrible day in the game, one of the worst. I had a very bad feeling through out the morning hours. After log in, i have done my everyday routine and wanted to do a few runs in eLOL. I had a few feelings as if i wasn't really in this game. Things got bad over time, the loss of dungeons, the endless grind, the mind-numbing HEs, the broken PVP, but today was a low point for me personally.
One question came into my mind as i tried to Q for ELOL and PVP. Where are the players?
Don't get me wrong, i saw many online, but not playing and i mean under playing the normal DnD style. One surely could argue, that trading is part of the game, but please is this the only part, which is active now? Since the new Mod i rarely find a full Q either for eLOL or PVP. I know many are still farming for the weapon or doing the HEs, but still.
Are things so bad now, that the remaining dungeons are nearly empty?! No one needs to be a genius to say, that dungeon rewards have to be re worked. Currently farming the HEs in WoD, until one gets a carpal tunnel syndrome, is more rewarding, then the remaining dungeons. Those few PUGs, who entered where sadly so bad, you couldn't finish even the first boss with them and don't get me wrong, it was ironically funny to see the top notch toons from top PVP guild players not being able to deal with the scorpions. Made me think, a lot...
So i tried for PVP while doing the daily HEs in SH for INF. Not a single one popped up during an hour, so i cancelled the Q, it was painful to see.
This brings me to my conclusion. Game really needs a 180 degree turn, back to old times. Give those whales, who cry for harder content more tiers of dungeons, but for God's sake leave the dungeons as they are, most PUGs can't even do them now as its is, at least without a Pali's perma bubble. Rework dungeon rewards, so if the old dungeons come back, they will not meet the same fate as the ones now, namely that they are not rewarding enough to do. Find a better way to obtain those elemental weapons, cause currently PVP is dead, empty. Last, but not least, the endless farm and grind destroys alt play with each Mod more and more. I didn't meet anybody amongst my friends, who is willing to do the crab fight for more than a few toons. Game needs to be game again, needs to become DnD again, not just an endless grind on a small beach and some recycled HEs in old zones and have you guys thought about it, how will those players get their weapons, when the majority leaves the shores?

my guild has alot of new players. none of them had more than 2 or 3 boons the 1st time they went through etos. i heal those groups with my cleric 2.2k who has no boons at all. so while i have more experience than your average pugger, im not better geared. r7's in all my slots. ensorcelled weapons, frost chant in offense and defense ( cuz it was cheap), but im built to heal like noone's business. and i guide (along with the other officers) them to proper builds and good rotations. and i really cant get a pure 2ker. since a full blue alliance set and rank 7s with basic weapon enchants and blue artis is 2.2k. but you've been around too long so you obviously knew that.
and its not my guild boons either. unless you think that 3.2k hp makes a ton of difference in this game ( and thats the only boon we have as a guild)
and thats the difference. a well put together group, with people that know what they are doing can easily beat etos with a 2k group in full blue alliance gear with rank 7's ( i bought 3 r7s today for 4k a pop so saying thats expensive is a joke).
a group of new players that has no experience working as a team will have a hard time. and guess what. thats a good thing. if a completely new group of 2kers could breeze through etos ( which is a fairly easy dungeon). then this game would be in even worse shape than it is now. the differnce in power between blue alliance gear and purple alliance gear is minuscule. elven isnt always a good upgrade. and neither is required to complete etos. or ecc or even egwd ( the fight is simple once you learned it. the difference is with higher ilvls you can kill the stormcallers quicker so the fight doesnt take 30 minutes). the difference is knowledge is a different story.
a fresh 1600 group can clear mc and vt if they know the fights. and elol if the tank can dance around the scorps. if you expect a fresh 1600 to facetank the scorps, well, thats your problem. figuring out the fights is all there is to this game. and they're all very very easy to figure out if you put some time into it. most people dont. thus the "NEED" for 3k il for elol.
