You get the materials to build the lumberyard from heroic encounters. And if the monsters still say they are level 70, make certain your characters have not also been "leveled" up to 70 too. Now granted being artificially leveled up to 70 for the zone is not the best, as you may still be underpowered.
The Treasures of Tyranny and Surplus Equipment requirements are ludicrous, I can't imagine how it made it past the whiteboard as contributing positively to the experience of the module. The gem requirements are a bad joke, they have (I hope inadvertently) reinforced a nice market niche for the 'evil botters'. The AD requirements are simply game killing. They were excessive before Leadership was nerfed and don't even pretend to disguise the fact it is a desperate attempt to suck as much AD out of the economy as possible. I really thought some sense was kicking in with the GMoP changes. If the development team is waiting as long as possible to bring this obnoxiously obese AD sink back in line with what is anywhere near what average players can hope to achieve then sadly, we can only watch as more of our friends log out, never to be seen again. PC version is obviously just a petrie dish for the Xbox. Fair enough, money talks, but I'd wager that if people are not having fun here, then they most likely won't on Xbox either.

Personally, im not getting any building meterials from heroic encounters and im being auto leveled to 70 when i enter the stronghold zone. Sry they only from certain encounters? How do i prevent myself from being auto leveled when i enter the stronghold zone?

Whit the new expansion also focusing on SH .
I think devs shoud rethink the AD and Campaign currency shrink. Or even remove those .
In the end only a few Big frustrated guild will survive.
All in all i agree with the hole thread small guild are doomed . The joke is :there is more ppl in smal guilds then ppl in large guilds this need to be looked to.
Better example 10x smal guild with active 20 player vs 1 big guild with 150 active player. The possibility of buying zen in a smal guild is way more then in the large one Cuz they already are BIS (just look at the req for large guild with rank 8-11++ guild hall +market 4+++.
As mentioned in other threads, we might see some changes to Stronghold, when it's about to be released to the Xbox. But until then, i guess that all the Devs are focused on getting Underdark released on PC.
I do believe in killing the messenger...
Want to know why?
Because it sends a message!

You should be getting the building materials from the HEs, only 5 will drop per HE. And the max you can get total is the 50 you need to build the lumberyard, so if another character in your guild has the 50 then you won't receive anymore. And there is no way to prevent you from auto-leveling when entering the zone, that is how it works. Yes, it is bad, but that is their method. There should be a tutorial HE near to the lumberyard location, but it never appeared for me either. So maybe it is not there, I do not know.

I disagree with that because our Guild encourages members to go to other Guilds if they don't like ours, but they can come back any time. They are not leaving to reduce resource requirements,
That's easy to avoid. Just add a timer that doesn't let you rejoin the SAME guild for a few months. I don't think that anybody will then be willing to leave a guild to reduce stronghold resource requirements.
good way to farm Surplus equipment is speedruns in eToS, its 810 points per epic and we did eToS in like ~15 minutes with 2 clerics in party, atm eToS is almost as easy as in mod5
New module is on and running, but there were any changes that could/would help small guilds to improve strongholds. Devs are thinking on solutions for this issue (if you believe it is an issue) or should me and the few guildies that still had a belief just give up on upgrading it this life time?
I'd like a moderation point of view regarding this matter.

I believe they will stall as long as possible as this is good business decision since small guilds tend to buy the stronghold items in zen market and large guild do not need to.
There are more than BIS players in this game RIP Real Tiamat, RIP Real Demogorgon RIP real Temple of the spider. Why remove non bis content to give to bis players ???? FORCING the majority of your player base to play 4 mod old dungeons and trial will have a bad result on player base Changes are getting so bad i would rather prefer no new changes (RIP ICE FISHING in winter fest)
Well, take a look at "Masterwork Professions", this new benefit shows clearly, that there is no interest in giving small guilds a real chance in this Stronghold module.
And why would any player even consider to invest real money into a guild right now through Stronghold Packs? Unless you're the guild leader... or you know the guild leader in person... you might lose your money over night, when a guild leader just kicks you out for whatever reasons. There's no backup from the support, and you're not getting any of your investments back.
Besides the huge requirements of resources to build and upgrade a stronghold, that would be another reason to not buy Stronghold Packs, until the Devs start to change something.
I have seen a lot of posts about this subject and a lot of chat in-game about it, I too am in a small guild and the problems we incurred were with obtaining some of the types of vouchers, the amount of gear needed and the amount of AD. We were holding our own until the Leadership nerf because no on in the guild had an issue with donating a set amount of AD and, if needed, buying purple gear off of the AH weekly. I have seen a lot of people give great ideas. The one thing I have not seen is the possibility of a tiered progression. Example....guilds with 25 or less, 50 or less, 100 or less, and finally 150 and each "tier" has a different amount of requirements based on the tier levels and with this you can not suddenly add a 26th person in your guild (your guild would be locked at a certain guild level)...IF you wanted to go up to a higher tier, then to "level" up you would have to "make up" for the next tiers amount of requirements BEFORE being able to level further, then your guild can carry on with, let's say, tier 2's SH requirements (only AFTER you leveled the guild to tier 2)....this way the fairness and possible botting of a lower tiered guild can't suddenly invite more players and become tier 4 without putting in the same time and resources as a tier 4......lastly, the amount of AD required is ridiculous for all guilds now that it is not as easy to get the AD, the devs also need to change the amount gear and "area" specific stuff is calculated....a green piece of gear is only worth 5, blue 10 and purple 810 (or something like that) these numbers NEED to get a boost.

I hope Devs and Admins hear us a bit and come down with some changes on next updates
