Replayable vs. Repeatable
Sounds good Scott.

Thanks for all the fish.
a massive rework of the Tarmalune Tradebar Store
GOODBYE VIP GOODBYE
....btw seems nice.
dont do the same errors of tiamat
I imagine the 'being able to visually see transmutes' will have something to do with a bunch of new appearances available in the Tarmalune store.
I just pray they did a nice simple catalog redesign and that any new fashion upgrades also come with the ability to switch between outfits/companions, and being able to switch gear/power loadouts.

If this includes removing Coalescent Wards or making them more expensive, I think a lot of people will be pretty upset. If this includes making them cheaper, then I think a lot of people will be happy. And some people will still be upset, but then again there is no pleasing some people.
Also, the "Discuss on the official forums" link might be off. I had to remove the "-staging" part of the URL for it to work. Not sure if I'm the only one that had a problem with it, though.
Repeatable vs replayable
Sounds like we are going to be running the same content over and over. It kinda sounds like lazy design again, tbh. I just hope that this time, it's going to be content Cryptic hasn't used before.
As nice as some of this other stuff sounds, sometimes you just want to run a dungeon, and we don't have very many right now.
Otherwise, my thoughts on the rest of this: I like the area of the stronghold. You guys tend to be able to make great new areas, and I'm certain that this new one won't be an exception to that. I can't wait to roam around in the deeper Underdark. Especially if you DO manage to make it not as annoying to replay as some other areas.
The ability to preview gear is something I've been kind of wanting for a while. Not an absurd amount, but it's a nice feature that I think should have been in here a while ago.
The stronghold stuff is also kind of neat, but overall inconsequential to me as of right now. My guild and I are far too small to be able to get much use out of it, but it's cool that we're gonna be still getting expansions on it.
The Tarmalune Tradebar rebalance doesn't really affect me much, not really having the money to put down on the game, but I wonder how it's going to be. I hope it isn't horrible, considering it's one of the only decent ways to get Coalescent Wards at this point.
The Demogorgon large scale fight... I was expecting a demon lord fight, but I was expecting a weaker one in a dungeon. I guess I should've seen this coming, but I do want to bring down the big guy himself, so that's overall a plus. I hope the fight's good.
These are about my first thoughts on these. They'll probably change later on when more info is announced. So for now, I'm going to say I'm cautiously optimistic! ... But please do fix some more things on some classes. The Unstoppable bug is still a thing (Temp HP given from someone else seems to break Unstoppable), and Shadow of Demise is still bugged.
The Taramalune trade Bar vendor information has me.. apprehensive.
I can see monetization needs drive removing coal wards from the trade bar vendor outright.. or making them prohibitively expensive... say 500 bars for a coal ward? 1000 bars for a coal ward..?
In any case, the term "rework" doth give me pause... I get 1 coal ward about every 25 days from the VIP key. Thats how long it takes to build up enuff bars to buy one.

To avoid this kind of scenario, they could just add a new trade bar currency entirely, keep the old shop items up, stop rewarding the old trade bars, and start rewarding the new ones.
After recent changes, you could forgive me for worrying that this is going to be yet another unpopular change, but time will tell I guess.
Only to a certain extent. After the absolute grind terror of module 6, it is perfectly acceptable that everyone is afraid of something similar as that. Even a moderator have to recognize that "elemental evil" went far from being a success.
