How do I suspend my VIP membership for a couple months

nevergaznevergaz Member, NW M9 Playtest Posts: 7 Arc User
It looks like I am going to have to take a couple unforeseen months off this game and recently bought a 9 month VIP membership. Is there any way to suspend the membership or is it just like the situation with the AD.... I'm Screwed???

Oh I quite agree. I'm thinking that they saved this little AD bomb until after people looked over the benefits of VIP and spent real money just to get driven off the game. I only want a few months but I'm sure that there are literally thousands of people that now want all the VIP money back. Shame though I really LOVED playing this game.

I am pretty sure they could implement a ZEN store item for suspending your VIP… like 30 dollars for suspending it half a year.

Heck, PWE can make shi… to gold. Pay to not-playing.

Using a chargeback to protest is fraud. Which will lead to one's account being banned and payment form blacklisted for fraud and one's bank might not like such either if they realize what their client is doing.

I think charging money for something /service/ and then removing it / key parts of it/ is no different to fraud or a product not being as described.

I've seen news and patch notes and account probations after you buy zen etc so I guess some people share my view point and their banks agree too.

The tos allows the company do what they please pretty much. Including the above. Perhaps it is fraud, but legally, because of the ToS they can.

To comment on the comment below mine. What they did there is really shifty. Maybe one day theyll come to resolution, which the clear resolution is so obvious, it puts into question the thought processes that the devs/execs make in this game.

    It's called "bait and switch".

Indeed the simple bait and switch for promised goods vice delivered goods make it fraud on PWE side. I know you are trying to protect the company's interests, but they slipped up when they changed VIP at the same time they dumped the AD change on us.

Here's the catch with this: You didn't purchase a VIP pack, you purchased Zen. It's essentially the same as exchanging money for chips in a casino. Any transactions that involve chips no longer fall under the same regulations as monetary transactions. If you lose all your chips playing at a table, you don't get a refund. The same applies here.

Never hurts to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. Which I'm surprised people didn't do after the companion promo disaster.

Looks like you're screwed OP :s

At least try to connect once a day and open a chest would be a good way to get a minimal loss on your VIP time.

No, fraud is selling something that does not work as advertised. Can you explain how all the recent Cryptic do not fall under this definition ?

Not going to debate legalities. If one has a legal claim, please contact Support or your Legal Adviser. The forums are not the place for such, especially when being used in an improper manner.

To the OP: As others have stated, there is no way to suspend such at this time. If you have a serious complaint on such, please file a Support ticket.
