Search forum results by date?

Is there a way when I use the search feature in these forums to sort results by date? I tried looking through the preferences but could not find anything like this.

After initiating a search, the results page will be headed with the search bar and your searched word(s). Inside on the right of that search box is a drop down arrow in which you can find this and more options that you seek. Here's a quick link to the full search page. Alternatively, clicking the search magnifying glass icon in a blank quick search field will take you to the search page also.
