Kicking your healer because they can't keep up with the healing.

As I main a Soulbinder/Fury SW in the current mod, I can heal myself with high life steal and damage output. I will tell the DC in the group (if there is one). To not worry about me so they can focus elsewhere.

Here's a great story! I qued for ELOL and it puts me in a game where the group is at the final boss. They were all standing around the campfire looking at me as I join.
1 second later the one guy said "let's try this again and if you can't keep us alive we will find another". Then I left. I had never been more mad and frustrated at a game before. You can not just do that to your healer!!!

Wow...playing a dc as a main since day 1, so this is a cool post lol

Honestly though, you get the good with the bad as a healer. Case in point, I was in an LoL group yesterday where a CW and TR kept standing in red and getting one shotted by the giants, the first boss lizard, and the lizard after that. I was booted for "not healing,". Now, I have been healing through all content (all without a GF except for Draco in CN, which I just haven't even bothered with in over 2 months...might be doable now without a GF), and am very well geared.

The fact of the matter is, they still hadn't learned the simple rule: RED IS BAD. But, I got blamed and booted. Lolin

That being said, there are some terrible DCs out there. I know they are learning, so I understand....the learning curve for players is brutal in this game already without the unreasonable expectations lumped on top of healers.

I've made my peace with it though.

Castle Never can be done with no tank or healer. Although, having a tank at the dracolich is helpful or having a cleric to kite adds.

If doesn't make someone who's main is a DC feel good when people talk about running one of the hardest dungeons without a Healer.

lol, no it is not. As a PC and Xbox player I can tell you that in the current mod for Xbox with life steal and regen a healer is really not a necessity. A SW with high LS and specced into Temptation can heal the group just as well, still not a requirement. When the new content drops and LS gets nerfed and Regen only works outside of combat it makes having a healer much more beneficial.

Yep, thats why i respecced my SW to get used to not being a Templock and more of a DPS build. But my SW isnt my main but i will play it in Mod 6.

Question is, how many people are gonna make a Paladin right away and level it to 70 before they level their current mains to 70? LOL.

^ Me lol. Also, a paladin is, if specced into it a healer. Try running the dungeons in mod 6 with no healer or tank. Pure dps and cc is not enough for a "super easy" run. It can be done of course but not as simple as "super easy".

Yeah, I've been in a group where they kicked the Cleric. (I usually always say no on kick votes.) I was rather stun that we managed to clear Pirate King Lair without one but then I noticed that most people had their healer companions out and was doing a good job keeping up.

As a Soulbinder/Fury SW as I stated previously I rarely even touch pots, unless of course I am drawing all the aggro lol. All that is needed for PK is outright dps.
