why?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! lol i understand that later on when you open the marketplace in stronghold, you can use marks to purchase things but right now, we just started and I am already capped at 30k and cannot add more. So it will take longer for my guild to grow because I cannot add more and I have a lot more to add. =/

Do something about this, NOW!!!
Stronghold Coffers: Attempting to deposit an item that would give you more Guild Marks than you hold will now give a warning that donation will not increase your Guild Marks instead of just preventing you from donating to the coffer.
But I agree that you should be sensible and only donate the items you need to build the next structure. Adventurer's Shards and Heroic Shards are going to be the time-gate for most guilds, I suspect.
It's being patched today.

Sounds like the same logic behind the dev's humiliating botched Tiamat Run, where their conclusion to failing to defeat her due to her insane gobs of hit points, etc. and so forth was not "make the difficulty reasonable" but rather "raise IL necessary to enter", i.e. fixing the symptom, rather than the disease.
As it stands, as has been said in other threads: this is going to be a deathblow to smaller guilds and those gutted by Mod 6, because there is no way on god's green earth they're going to be able to hit the resource requirements in a reasonable timeframe. I myself have yet to even be able to participate in a raid, and looking at some of the boons (for example, one that offers an up to 32,000 HP bonus), it's only a matter of time before larger guild toons can casually obliterate someone without that benefit, no matter how much better the small guild player is (kinda like in 3.5 D&D, where even a sub-optimal end game Wizard or Cleric played by a moron could casually obliterate the world's most twinked out, ingeniously played Fighter, Paladin, or Ranger).
Annoying enough on its own, but given the complete lack of regulations and rules in NWO, I can guarantee you that the larger guilds, upon realizing the power they hold (i.e. you want to stay on the power curve, be relevant, and actually be able to compete at high level PVP and end game dungeons? You need to belong to us.) are going to take full advantage of that. Namely, they're going to start charging for admission.
And all its going to do is drive yet more people away from this game.
