Black Screen after Neverwinter logo

So ive been trying to see if the game works just as they said that the servers were up. But after the neverwinter logo all i get is a black screen with the cursor and nothing else. Could use a little help. I know that the servers are down, but at least i should be able to see my characters just as everyone else.

i guess since gameserver was down login server is taken down too. no use anyway otherwise. only more people not knowing why the game doesn't load and think it's on their side maybe or wonder what's happening.

Nay, no one on the PC Servers can see their characters at the moments for the Servers are down. Please do see the updates in the original post in the Strongholds Maintenance 8/11 at 6am PDT sticky. Thanks.
