What do I do with all these bound purple companions and artifacts on a toon I no longer play?

So much money on these items of a class I no longer enjoy playing... I don't have money to do this all the time. Feels like such a waste knowing I have millions of AD on a toon not able to be used on a different character and discourages me from even thinking about doing it again. What if I get bored of the new class I choose to play...

i know what you mean. i have so many companions and nice items that are all bound to the char they were used on. Chars i no longer play beause they are boreing. Would be nice if they would make things account bound.

Would be nice if they would make things account bound.

That would be alternate friendly and ultimately attract more players and cash.

I think the best solution would be to offer a class retraining token. Obviously, it would entail not being able to use your class-specific equipment, but you'd at least get a little more use out of the character than you do now.

    Like, one minute you're a level 70 wizard, now you're a level 70 rogue?

I guess they could do that. It'd be more complicated trying to reset your level to 4.

    Call it "Reincarnation Token"

What is this, Final Fantasy Tactics?!?

Well the next best option would be to make artifcts and companions account bound so we can move them to fully lvld alts. I had one of everything with BIS gear through MOD 4. The artifacts make it a challenge to maintain multiple toons. Gear/Artifact changes every four months make it impossible.

I agree that it'd be super nice if most BtC stuff was BtA, and I say that as someone who deliberately only tries to manage a single toon.

Then they'd have to work in a way for people to eventually have access to their old class skills, and that would probably ruin PvP.

    Uh, more so.

Nonsense. You only got your old class' skills when your new class' level exceeds the level of your old class.

So as long as you can only dual class once you hit 70, it's impossible to get a higher level in your new class!

Course, then you'd have to never raise the level cap ever again-

another option would be to offer a companion swap token: comp level is reset to zero, and becomes unbound. any gear on the comp is bound to the toon that first had it.

This would also help those that picked a companion and later on realized it wasn't what it was cracked up to be. BUT....the idea makes too much sense from a player perspective. Their horribly overpriced companions on the market are one of their choice price gouging areas, so I'm pretty sure they won't do something that has the potential of reducing their sales in that category.

Said companion should, IMO, be bound to account at the very least...

yeah, I was thinking that too...total unbind is a bit extreme. bound to account would work better, and resolve the OP's issue. And they could make money off the swap tokens. It would have to be cheap enough to be worth it though...say 400-500 zen.

On the subject of bind to account/character...did they change the bags? I swear back a ways I used to swap my greater bags of holding between my toons. went into one to do it the other day, and it was bound to that character. Did they change that? or am I not remembering accurately? (wouldn't be the first time...)
