Do things in your mailbox expire?

I have a variety of things that i sent to myself or bought from the AH. I'd like to ask if anyone knows if one day some of the mail might disappear. Thanks!

    AH mail only auto-deletes when empty. Looted messages hang around for about a week after their sent date. Mail with attachments isn't deleted.

    Items mailed to yourself shouldn't be at risk of anything other than you accidentally deleting them.

    Things you sent to yourself are generally safe in your mail.

    The only danger, in the most unfortunate turn of event, is when your acct is hacked and the items in your mails emptied. While support can rollback your account to pre-hacking state, they're not able to restore items in your mail (their reason being "mail is not meant for storage purposes").

    If you're facing space constraints, creating new characters and using their inventories and personal banks as storage might be a better alternative. If you run out of character slots, well every new account grants 2 free characters ;)
