I looked at company reviews of Cryptic on glassdoor.
Overall, it is supposedly a great place to work - great coworkers and such. But, apparently PWE management practices are supposedly horrible - and they negatively impact Cryptic getting things done.
Based on the collective information I was seeing in posts on the forums over the past year, I had strong suspicions that management was an issue.
Get organized, PWE and quit stressing your good developers!
I might recommend lots of management training, or simply fire many of them and start anew with WELL-SCREENED top-tier managers. Read the book, Top Grading, for some help.

I wouldn't put much stock in--or at least take with a grain of salt--the reviews of a website to which ANYONE can submit a review without any vetting of credentials or previous experience--including disgruntled gamers posing as former or current employees.
Also, "crunch" is pretty common with all game developers. I read a recent article on Kotaku about the practice. Devs not getting to see their families much, or even having to eat meals catered in because of demanding development schedules. A lot of mental mistakes being made due to sheer exhaustion.
It's a lot of the reason why I asked myself "do I really want to go into the business?" after reading up on the costs and time investment required for just a small scale game...I mean, I did take some classes and all. But thats a heckuva lot to ask.

Yeah, I know the glassdoor website has potential for "rage" reviews that might not even come from actual employees, but I have found the site to be generally on-track if there are enough reviews to compare.

Yes, I attended college at an SEC school and have been an avid college football fan since about 1983. I always pull for all SEC teams when it comes to bowl games, so I am not the typical "I hate (insert conference rival)" type of football fan. My team is on the mend right now, but I have a feeling either this year or the next is going to be good.
And I do like Bama's coach - good guy and class act.
