It seems like quite a lot of effort is being made to make a change that no one is asking for, when several changes that have been requested for a long time and would take similar effort are being overlooked. I don't understand why this is being pushed so hard.
Just want to add to the calls to please return the Gravity Well effect to Gravatic Ripple. I spent a lot of time grinding to get the power and subsequently built a gravity themed character around the effect and this new version of the power is no longer fun or thematic

Great post as always, if time was spent just making the game more sustainably fun before adding new major features (with the exception of foundry) it would make all the difference.
You stated that if this was easy to implement, a water powerset would have been easy enough to implement too. Attacks involving water involve flooding, puddle formation, environment soaking, etc in order to look good. This would not and is easy to implement as a result.
I think that the Trey Kings thing probably makes sense when compared to the other VB gangs. Each received an unholy transformation and it looks like the Trey Kings got a touch of Qlipothic horror given to them.

It's actually less difficult to do than the dark aura was, the games rendering engine renders black effects as invisible, and white effects as solid white. They hard coded the effects in the dark aura to get around this IIRC. The same approach would apply here.
That really is fantastic, who's the robot? Also for those wondering the artist goes by Zachula on Deviantart, the picture isn't on there but the signature matches his other work. He has done another Sparrowhawk commission there too although I think this one is much nicer.
That's a shame, despite this issue the mission is fun and while it will get stale after a while probably the most cinematic individual mission in the game.
