My version of a Space Marine is Superstat Str, Defiant, Juggernaut, tanky, and uses mostly Teleport and Lazer Sword. Laser Knight looks good with his Power Sword, he's got healing and the self-ressurection (Bionics Cybernetics, roll a 6 to stand back up). That's the only one I've seen working pretty well.

I'm spending most of my time beating people down with the base combo anyway. It will be nice not to HAVE to lightwave slash to build enrage stacks, though. I prefer simplicity in my playstyle, not one of the active button mashers.

Well, looking at them in the game, they both identically apply +X end every 3 secs for 6 secs when triggered by Y. MSA used to stack. Does it still? Because if it doesn't, then with Defiance and a Form, I'm going to go with Unfied Theory for the simplicity - it will fire every attack, and I won't have to keep rolling CDs…

I notice that both of the suggested builds use Warden Mastery as well as MSA. What's the reasoning for that, over another energy unlock or the flat bonuses of the STR mastery?

Well all I want is a bit of support, just sentinel aura and mastery would be fine I suppose, but that brings up another question from within the sentinel tree - what triggers Rejuvenated? BCR? Reconstructive Circuits? What kind of Hold would fit the concept for the mastery?

So what I'm hearing is that a good tank really NEEDS to have their form be something that functions well in the offense department? Otherwise their dps suffers enough that they can't maintain aggro? I was going to try this with large weapons, but I'll settle for having an aura or two that fits the inspiring commander…
