I don't think I'm going to be a fan of putting costume pieces and auras in the dev store. That kind of stuff should be more freely available than I suspect dev tokens will be.
The auras need to be either far, far cheaper, or, more preferably, bound to account instead of character. ~150 to 200 tokens for bound to account would be appropriate. Bind to character on pick up, 50 to 75 is more appropriate.
The number one thing that bothers me about this event is that the aura rewards are BoP to *character*. Which is just ridiculous, especially for 3 days of dailies to get one.
Neither the bone plates long nor the tribal loincloth auto-unlocked their female versions from me, and I had unlocked the items before. Furthermore, the tribal loincloth moved from showing as unlocked (grey mask) to not unlocked at all (blue mask). Since some folks have already reported this so quickly, this clearly isn't…
I suspect the idea is, since these are supposed to be balanced for 20+ people IIRC, that no one person will be able to tank for the entire time it takes to take down the cosmics, so people will have to rotate out, with someone tanking for a while, then blocking to fall back and heal while another tank takes the agro. Plus,…
I'm looking to buy the Teleios Back, Stereo Glider Hoverboard, and Stereo Glider Electric Hoverboard. I'm willing to pay 3000g each. Either send me a tell or ingame email, or message me on here, please. My in game handle is @SeekerOfRedemption. EDIT: Got the Teleios Back. Dunno if the other two are even in game, though the…
Yeah, your Steam version is going to be a totally different version from the other version you have installed and stored in a different place. I'd shut down the update and run your other version of the game; you'll have to wait for the Steam version to update and all of your saved costumes, screen shots, and so on won't be…
Yeah, don't test it or add it to the list or anything. I don't even care anymore. I'd already chalked it up to not ever happening, so wagging your finger at me and talking about how you're going to continue to ignore it doesn't bother me. You're just threatening to do what I already figured you were doing.
As Silverspar pointed out, she doesn't have nemesises on a lot of her alts. So it'd be as simple as generating a random one, then getting an ambush to spawn - or sit through the cutscene for the museum mission. Or, and I know this is shocking - since apparently it's a such GIANT ordeal for anyone to confirm something so…
If you need to confirm it before putting it on the list that bad, it shouldn't take more than 5 minutes to make a junk nemesis and with supernatural-powered minions and jump in the museum mission to test it. I assure you, it is a real bug. Doesn't look like anyone else is interested in testing it out (including you) - and…
After more playing with it, the problem seems to be that NO nemesis minions count towards the perks if you've set them to have the supernatural powers (as opposed to dark magic, psionic projection, etc.). Tested with undead, infernal, and demon nemesis minion types.
Infernal and demon nemesis minions are not counting towards their respective kill 10/100/1000 minions perks. This bug may be applicable to ALL nemesis minions types, but I've only tested with infernal and demon nemesis minions.
To quote a dwarf from one of the rather awful D&D movies: "The problem with elves is they ain't got no meat on their bones. You gotta get yourself a nice 250 pound dwarf, with hair on her chin you can hang on to! Ah, ah, ah! "
Using pet commands in the pet status window (not the pet tray) to give individual pets commands does not work. All commands (including dismissing them) just produce the following error message: [System] Unknown command "Petcommands_Setspecificpetstate".
I can definitely put that to use. I've had several synthetic characters or the like where I would have killed at the time to be able to make their hair metal.
When I heard about Onslaught, and the OVs having targets to attack in the city, I imagined them having banks to rob, labs to bust into, monuments to destroy, and so on. You know, acts of villainy. I think the solution is more in providing those kinds of things, having those targets provide villain tokens, and trying to…
According to the news announcement, there's a 10% bonus to your crafting success if you use crafting tables (like the ones in the mod building in the ren cen). Seriously? Modding with it not destroying the mods when it fails? That'd make catalysts useless, removing what little business comes to the Z-store to buy safeguard…
In theory, that's how it should work. In practical experience with Cryptic and CO, that's not how it works (the rank upgrade catalysts are the most prominent example, but it's been done with a lesser degree with everything else that's ended up overpriced and very rarely bought). Instead of going "Oh crap! It's not selling!…
Level 30 is way too high a bar if they want this content to be appealing to new players (and trying to sell new players on "hey, you have to spend real world money to get to any of the new shiny stuff" is a bad idea, too, IMO). Level 10, or maybe even 15 might be appropriate. But 30 would be way too high.
Thanks for listening about the vehicle mod hour/week and adjusting it to something much more useful. It's really encouraging when the devs listen to player feedback.
Yes, please throw up a news splash about the LTS being 33%. After telling zone and a few channels about it, no one knew about it, so more prominent notification is probably called for.
While I, too, prefer my superhero games more serious than silly, I haven't really had much objection to the level of humor in the game in recent years; they listened to players and generally toned down the level of wackiness that was present when the game launched and shortly thereafter. And I don't find this particularly…
Given that you are giving someone money for all the things you receive from subscribing (lifetime or not), literally none of that is free, by definition. Or do you think you give a car dealership 20 grand they give you a free car? Your whole "You shouldn't be complaining about not getting something for free (that everyone…
As others have pointed out (numerous times, in this thread and others), it's pretty clearly tied to an old bug that prevents players from continuing to purchase character slots. A few years back, a bug got introduced that people stopped being able to buy new character slots after they hit a certain number - some folks…
C'mon dudes. At this point, we all know that we're not getting that character slot. It doesn't affect a big enough segment of the player base for Cryptic to care.
I agree with all of this. "It's broke, and the broken part is a component of what is one of the major draws of the game.... but we may just decide not to fix it" is not encouraging.
Woah, dude, seriously? I love the jetwings jetpack/wings/combo costume pieces. They're quality costume pieces, IMO. Way more impressive than the alien skin tights and mask, IMO.
I agree with this sentiment. It is foolish to disregard customer feedback to "try" something that's been met with criticism by your customers on your other games. I don't want to see what some random other guy got out of his lockbox. I don't care. No one does. This "well maybe they'll be getting something you want to buy"…
Yeah, I've just kind of resigned myself to the fact that Cryptic's just going to let the issue slide and I'm not going to get any help, resolution, an apology, or even acknowledgement. It's pretty much Cryptic's customer service MO with this kind of thing.
Quoted from crypticbuxom on a now closed thread concerning this subject (directed at a dev): ABOUT THE PROMO CHARACTER SLOT BUG Make the C Store available on the PTS, purchase dozens of character slots until you cannot anymore. If you cannot do this than go on live and make the purchases there. It will stop you from making…
Sounds to me like you hit the limit they put on getting new character slots by purchasing them once you hit a certain number of character slots (I believe it's in the 30's - I was well past it when they quietly implemented it a few years ago). It doesn't matter how many slots you've purchased or whether or how you're…
The release notes seem to indicate that being unable to clear out your primary mission is working as intended (the notes point you to turning off the glowing arrow above your head in options instead). I think it's a really bad decision. It's removing functionality and convenience in the use of the UI for little to no gain.
If PWE wanted to try to invest in CO, the way to go about it, IMHO, would be to invest in things that are more clearly end game content that isn't grinding rampages (which players have been complaining has been lacking for years) and, perhaps more importantly, advertising for the game. There's already a lot of content in…
