I just want to echo what Ravenforce said, as I pretty much agree with everything. I would also add that using pets over devour essence is probably the way to go if you are using Aura of Ebon Destruction and the build focus is already ranged. AoED works best with pets that can keep that lightning proc going.
I understand what you are trying to do, as I used to be an old school DnD player myself, but in the context of this game, I'd probably drop a few of the breath attacks to make the build better. It's doubtful you'd have time to use more than two at a time in most fights anyway. It's a cool idea though. Dragons have all…
Hmm, seems most of the good ones are already thrown out there, but I'll shoot. Shard Star Slag Star Dredge Star (my personal favorite, though a little villainous sounding) Dust Star Crag Star Sledge Star Shale Star Brim Star (from Brimstone) Crud Star (yeah, I couldn't resist)
I've been working on a PA character with shoulder launcher myself and have been looking for ways to beef up the damage on it. Unfortunately, I have to use Invincibility for theme, so that limits me some in that department. I lose quite a bit of damage from that alone and chest beam is a given; but outside of that, I was…
I'd probably drop Throwing Blades for something else. I have a similar character and I find Ricochet Throw at full charge and Shuriken Throw enough as far as AoE goes.
I'm no expert at this game, but I do try to make well balanced characters. I think Hollow pretty much answered it already, but the character build/theme you are going for will always play some part as well. In my case, I was trying to go for a super passive healing approach, hence the layered passive heals on top of Regen.…
I'm doing a HW/Earth based troll tank atm with regen as a defensive. I used STR as main stat, with CON as SS and stack that mainly on my gear with the + defensive perk. Third stat is REC, because I like to jump right into a fight, but that can easily be something else. As far as powers go, I am mainly built around Cleave…
I wish I had time to participate in this, as I get compliments about my characters quite often and it would have given me an excuse to sit down and really flesh out a bio, but alas I was at work all night. Congrats to the winners!
I actually moved from Neverwinter to here a few weeks ago after seeing a thread about Champions (I played at release). Combat wise the game is pretty fun, but the builds/customization is very limited and set on rails, as are the zones/dungeons after the first time. The pvp is pretty bad as well. The Foundry is great, but…
I played this game at release, and then ventured on to play other games for a while. I spent about 5 minutes trying to play as Silver before I decided to go to Gold. It just didn't feel right. I suppose if I had never played though, I probably wouldn't have had that same feeling. However, creating characters and…
