It means, sub until the game closes or you will lose access to your Gold FF characters. If they are FF's slots you bought, you know, the $50 ones, those should stay the same. If you are currently subbed, stay subbed. You will have to convert them to AT's if you want to play them if you don't. Unless they actually come up…

According to one post from biffsmackwell, there is also going to be a character CAP put in place. We will be limited to 59 total characters. If you currently have more than that, you keep them but will not get any more.

Since the problem hasn't been addressed yet, as far as I'm aware, I doubt they'll even bother at this point. The folks who didn't get the free slot likely make up such a small percentage of the player base that it would probably be a waste of what little resources they have to find the problem let alone get a solution out…

I have heard that rumor, but that shouldn't be part of my issue as I've never purchased any slots. When I was subbed I just got new slots for hitting 40 and that was plenty.
