I would also move the whole thing over to Munitions. Calling a pillar of fire (well, deadly radiation) down from the sky is very much in keeping with Gadgeteer; calling in air support is likewise very much in keeping with the Munitions guys. In terms of adding more stuff to Gadgeteer, I'm all for making Technological…
What you're describing is Power Replacers. Originally, they were Gear or Devices that, when equipped, would make minor alterations to how your powers work, such as the Contagion Cleaver, an Item that caused your Single Blade attacks to have a chance of inflicting Toxic damage as well; or the Audio Librum, which added a…
Monster Island and Lemuria Crisis are already reformatted as Alerts, which I find annoying: I'm quite capable of soloing them, but I'm forced to do them as teams. Bring back the original non-Alert versions of these, while keeping the Alert versions around as repeatable Simulation content as described here. With that said,…
This has long been on my wish list. Ideally, I wouldn't mind it if every TP had a Device version available to it, in some way or other; though there might be some technical restrictions for those TPs that have costume skins: you might need to make a different Device available for each skin, since TP Devices almost…
Better, minimalist travel powers with Aura slots linked to them. The existing TPs would have default Auras preloaded that provide their existing visual effects; but the player would be free to swap those out or remove them entirely.
With the recent rework of Night Avenger (where Shadow Strike is separated out and turned into an Ultimate Power), let me adjust my suggestion here: move Night Warrior to the rebranded Hunter set. Finally, add Boomerang variants of the various "trick arrow" powers: Sonic, Taser, Explosive, Gas, and Medicine.
In fact, you might even tweak the powers provided when this Device is active so that they can target friends as well as enemies; but when targeting friends, they do no damage. They're like throwing tacos or swatting someone with a newspaper.
The Aura slots that you refer to aren't in the costume editor; they apply to your character no matter what costume he's wearing. That asid, I had overlooked the fact that Auras can be swapped out when you chage Roles; that's a helpful workaround.
The idea of a Block that gives you a Shield instead of additional damage reduction is interesting; but: 1. It's competing with various Damage Shield powers like Eye of the Storm and Defensive Combo; so its benefits need to be such that players find it worth taking. In particular, making it directional instead of completely…
I agree that Celestial needs a Block. However, I disagree as to how it should be implemented. Rather than Divine Retribution and Divine Rebuke, have it buff the champion's next Healing power. That is, don't build it around retaliating against the attacker; build it around supporting your companions.
Give use a selection of cyborg heads, with a mixture of flesh and machine: Also include a half-mechanical Chests and Arms piece (or two), like the Tharok and Cyborg Superman images. In particular, this piece would only have one mechanical arm, on whichever side is mechanical; the other arm would be normal flesh.
If I could get them to make just one change to the game engine, it would be to figure out how to apply costume customization to a Sidekick. Then provide a set of "Archetypal Sidekicks" built around the Archetypes and using this costume customization system, and with Mod Slots that I can use to select which Travel Powers…
I have a couple of more modest proposals: For Power Armor, Black Talon's Energy Builder. As things stand, there are no EBs for PA built around bullets and missiles. Plus, it would be neat to have another AoE EB. Also for Power Armor, a Railgun. Similar to the Chest Beam, except that the animation involves a huge gun in…
There are two differences: first, these slots would only be for Power Replacers, and would not permit Auras or Devices to be placed in them; and second, the Power Replacers would not need to be switched on: the power replacement would take effect for as long as the item is slotted. Agreed. I don't think I suggested doing…
Also: if you give Quarry an Int-based bonus to crits, this would reduce the problem with Hunter's Instinct being most effective with Dex builds. Primary Int and Secondary Dex might be a viable build. The trick would be to not become better than Targeting Computer, to the point where PA builds start taking Quarry instead.
Let me second the suggestions to make Quarry a Ranged-then-Melee damage buff rather than a Physical-then-nonphysical damage buff. It's nice for the Dodge and Avoidance buffs on an otherwise offensive passive; but maybe these should be increased to be more comparable to Night Warrior. And speaking of Night Warrior: if…
The OSV system is stagnant. I think being able to play your Nemesis as an Onslaught Villain could potentially reinvigorate both: it would bring the customization of the Nemesis system to Onslaught so that it's not just the same three villains over and over and over again, and it would give players a chance to showcase…
I'd like to see an "Onslaught Villain: Nemesis" token: instead of becoming Gravitar, Grond, or Medusa, you become your own Nemesis. Possibly replace the usual Onslaught Villain currency reward with a Nemesis Token reward when doing so; but otherwise run it just like Supervillain Onslaught. (Of course, you'd have to have an…
Probably. Still, I'd like to see them try. One thing I'd like to see added would be weapon skins: if I have a Single Weapon Nemesis called "Dagger", I want him to be wielding a dagger, not a sword. I used to be able to do this by creating a costume using the regular tailor, saving it, and then loading it in the Nemesis…
Certainly; because before the Night Avenger update, stealth was useless at Melee ranges: everyone always saw through it. The only way it could be used at all was at range. Focused Shot and Sniper are already ranged counterparts for Shadow Strike: you basically only get to use them at the start of a fight, but they do…
The only reason I didn't suggest moving Night Warrior into this Hunter Powerset is the inclusion of Shadow Strike, a power that's conceptually more in line with Claws than with “archaic ranged weapons”. Perhaps Hunter could provide a variation of Night Warrior (“Night Hunter”?) that replaces Shadow Strike with Focused Shot…
You know how they recently split Laser Sword out from Power Armor? I'd love to see them also split Chain powers out from Might. You'd obviously need to add more chain-based powers, including an EB; and while you're doing that you could change all chain powers in the game to have weapon skins.
I'd love a skating TP, possibly with a "weapon skin" for different kinds of skates and skis; similar to Hoverboard. Other than that, I'd be most interested in a "TP Aura Slot" (or two, one for each TP), giving me the option to create my own TP variants by taking a basic TP (like Flight) and pairing it with my choice of…
Is there any chance that the NemCon costume drops could be added to the Nemesis Vendor? I have long since run out of things to spend Nemesis Tokens on, and it would be nice to get some costume pieces in that store. Or something other than just Heirloom Gear, Mods, and Action Figures. Along these lines, could we maybe get…
When CO first came online, Sneak was a worthless power that nobody took, because there was no point; the mobs always saw through the stealth. I have my issues with what Cryptic did with Night Warrior; but they made the stealth toon something worth playing. Do not undo that. Adding in a class of patrol mobs that stealth…
So "Expulse" no longer expels by default? Seems like it could use a name change. (FWIW, the "get away from me!" effect has been the main reason I've bought the power in the past. I'll definitely be devoting Advantage points to picking up that ability.)
Could we take this opportunity to streamline the names of the power sets within the Mystic category? Instead of: * Celestial * Darkness * Arcane Sorcery * Infernal Supernatural * Bestial Supernatural How about just: * Celestial * Darkness * Sorcery * Infernal * Bestial Keep it simple. Note that Curse and Entrancing already…
Nephilim Masks (Full and Partial): could you please make these available as Eye Accessories? Gunblades: could you make this available both as a Pistol and as a Melee Weapon? It is, after all, both a gun and a blade... On the Binding issue: the Red Winter Alert is optimized for DPS builds; if my patriotic character is a…
For the sake of brevity, could we maybe replace "Tights & Skin" with "Basic", and "Beasts & Monsters" with "Creatures"? I'm sure other category names could be simplified as well; but these are the ones that jump out at me.
Clothing for Males: Tights & Skin, Pants, Mechanical, Beasts & Monsters, and Partial give you Bandages, Bandages Long, Fur, Ripped Shorts, Skirt Slit, Wrap Angles, Wrap Arched, and the various unlockable costume pieces. Medium Skirts & Shorts adds Male Skirt, Shorts, and Trenchcoat Bottom. I would recommend adding all of…
Consider making various Clothing Attachments and Hips Wear Attachments available as Belt Accessories: if it hangs down from the front of the waist, it's a viable candidate for a Belt Accessory. Heck, the Fur costume piece found under Clothing would probably make more sense as a Belt Accessory, freeing up the Clothing…
Note: the following is based on a female; I haven't yet checked how things stand for males. There's a fair amount of overlap in the Clothing available for Tights & Skin vs. Medium Skirts & Shorts: Fur, Ripped Shorts, Samurai Plate, Shorts, Skirt Gi, Skirt Short, Skirt Short Angle, Skirt Short Pleats, Skirt Short…
Trench Coat Bottom is available (under Clothing) in Medium Skirts, but not Pants. There is a "Skirt Short Trench Coat" option that's available (also under Clothing) in Pants, so you're not completely without a lower trench coat option. I have some more thoughts about Tights & Skin, Pants, Medium Skirts & Shorts, and Long…
In Unlocked Costume Parts, add a column identifying what set (if any) the costume part came from, and give us the ability to filter all columns (Part, Location, and Set), not just Part.
Chest > Partial has Attachment Chest and Attachment Arms; Legs > Partial has Attachment Legs and Attachment Legs. Rename the first to Attachment Abdomen. In fact, rename "Legs" to "Abdomen & Legs". For all Partials, add "Tights" and "Skin" alongside "None", "Hydraulic Arm", and "Robotic Arm". Tights and Skin should work…
Please move "Cyborg" and "Robotic" from Head > Tights & Skin > Head Type to Head > Mechanical & Full Helmets > Head Type. While you're at it, please move "Skull", "Skull with Neck", and "Zombie" from Head > Tights & Skin > Head Type to Head > Beasts & Monsters > Head Type. Heck, even Noseless might deserve to be moved to…
For the duration of the Tailor playtesting, please unlock all costume pieces on the PTS. I have some long-standing issues with the Nighthawk costume set that I'd like to check out; but I can't, because I don't have the Nighthawk costume set unlocked on the PTS. I'm sure other playtesters have similar issues with…
Cool! Brrr and Harvey (inspired by "A Lion Among Men" and the eponymous movie, respectively) are going to be getting makeovers ASAP. And then it will be back to farming Foxbat Creds, now that they have a reasonable drop rate.
I started experiencing problems yesterday, when I was getting booted every five minutes or so. Now, when I go to play a character I get booted before the map finishes loading.
I was going to make a tough call between exploring some of the new features (i.e., the Hockey Stick) or taking care of some real-world errands; but Cryptic appears to have simplified matters for me.
How about this: let a player purchase additional Travel Powers for a given character by spending Zen, sort of like buying extra Aura Slots; but keep the current limit of two Travel Powers per Build.
