This is a general comment not just focused at electricity. IMHO, it is worthwhile to take a defensive passive and an active defense or self heal for grouping. My experience in alerts is that dedicated tanks and support are rare. If you run in hybrid role your dps won't suffer that much and you will do more damage than…

I would like to know this too. My pets are rarely defeated (I run medical nanites, IDF, and sentinel aura) but I could use some more damage in the support role.

I'm glad it helped. If you love Conflagration as much as I do but you find it is an energy hog (some super-stats are better at energy management than others), you can re-arrange the order like so you get Thermal Reverberation and Concentration earlier.

IMHO Empathic Healing may be the best heal in the game. My only problem with it for a damage build is that you have to stop attacking and target yourself while using it.

IMHO the posts above are good advice. For raw damage, I like electricity and for damage plus survivability, I like infernal. My experience with fire is limited but if it is anything like electricity it will be good too.
