PS: I should add that the above formula is used with 5th Edition rules as I fundamentally disagree with the design changes made to the rules in 6th edition, although there are a few nice things in it (Damage Negation? Bout time!)

I would convert them much the same way I used to convert CoH characters to PnP Champions- 250 points for starting characters with +10 character points per Game level until at level 40 you are roughly 640+ characters, which can be significantly powerful with the right builds. Hope that helps as a suggestion.

I wouldn't mind some old favorite staples like Pulsar, Howler, and even Ogre showing up. And, of course- Cryptic, please find the rights owner for C.L.O.W.N. and buy them for some lighthearted zaniness that doesn't involve Foxbat.

Sounds good- what you do with those characters is sorta what I would do with the system if I had the chance to actually get a game going- I would use the best (IMO) parts of 4th, 5th, and 6th mashed together to come up with a system that was 'just right' for me- now I really need to sit down and go through the editions to…

Yes, well- and this is personal opinion, mind you- but Steve Long made a lot of bad decisions for the IP based on his personal preferences. Malachite had class and was original, Teleios is just a cheap knock-off IMHO.

In my mind- Teleios has always been a clone, of Malachite- Does Scott Bennie have the rights to that character? Why was it never purchased by DOJ?

Because you used the term 'Kryptonite kill-switch', keep in mind that the particular alien in question got a bunch of disadvantage/complications points for taking the vulnerbility/susceptibility to kryptonite.
