Nope, it's not too late I just had a real early doctor's appointment and then spent most of the day at the mechanics getting my car fixed. It's been a long day and I'm a lot poorer but more than ready to do the update.

This is last official lottery of summer, and will feature the hero in swimwear. The Sentinels know this one as "Swimsuits & Sea Monsters" but lets call it the S&S Lottery. The only real theme requirement is that your hero must wear a classic superhero costume with an Emblem. The emblem is a must as I will be using it to personalize the beachwear. All the usual rules would apply, not sure if an age restriction would be necessary but we can play that part by ear.

Swimsuits & Sea Monsters (the rules)
    (1) Post the name of your hero (must have a noticeable Emblem.)
    (2) Post your global name.
    (3) Post a full body, full color picture of the hero (doesn't need to be big, just showing head to toe).
    * The screen-cap does not need to be posted till a winner is announced, no screen cap no doodle however.

Swimsuits & Sea Monsters (the list)
    (01) Swimsuits and Seamonsters? Oh, this has to be Abyss@Rune!
    (02) Stellar Storm@Glass-Rose (Star 2)
    (03) Calliope Lux@RandomChance42 (star 2)
    (04) chernobyl@eviltaco - the hammer and sickle - Gear wings.
    (05) Electrocutie@jonsills - I'll just use her old costume, with its chest symbol.
    (06) Britannia@milleniumguardian (Shield Lion Emblem)
    (07) Manhunter@Bluegrass_Beast (Crossed Pistols /Gunslinger)
    (08) maybe its time to bring out my supersorcerer Apygoos@apygoos [feather swoop]
    (09) Ratasassin@esalmighty
    (10) Star Warden@Kurobasa
    (11)
    (12)
    (13)
    (14)
    (15) Silver Sentry@BobbyBlaze (wears Gear Wings)

"Oh my! hehe thank you SO much! I appreciate all the work you've put into this! :D
Just what IS she doing with that flag pole anyway?"

Lol, it's called creatively hiding any real nudity while appearing cheeky as all hell. I'm glad you like it.

    "This is great stuff!"

    Thank you.

"(if I have a emblem on my chest will you remove it and place it on my swimwear?)"

Yeah I'll try and add it to the piece, could be a belt buckle if you wore old-school swimming trunks or a pattern over the cloth if you wore a speedo - wherever it would show more.
In the example below I'd probably opt for surf suit.

"Eh sure, I'll throw my hat in.
Star Warden@Kurobasa (I'd like if possible for the swim wear to match his underclothing, so black with inlay lines.)(I'd like if possible for the swim wear to match his underclothing, so black with inlay lines.)"

Sure but you don't have to enter if you don't like the theme.

Sorry for the late update but like I said, my schedule's really messed up.

You two are weirding me out, you are giving me a Mr Freeze/Wildfire containment suit vibe here and the main requirement was a classic superhero costume with an emblem. I hope I'm wrong but I hold everybody to the same rules.

So rolled as d10 this time, the die faces "10" " Congrats to the Finnish!"

Lemme get on that screenie, I hope it's not too late. :(

edit: lemme fix that, missed the cat. We're gonna go with classic chern, instead. Because why not? Rock the soviet look.

FWIW, she rocks a bulky containment suit most of the time. But I do roll with that look quite a bit, too. Miniaturization, the suit is in her gloves and boots, that kinda deal. This is a known look for her that I use pretty frequently in public. :)

Without. If she's in swimwear she's not in costume, and her identity's public. With the caveat, though, that if you do the sketch and it looks like the mask will improve the art? Might as well just go for it. Because she's totally the sort of person to wear a mask with her bikini if it looks cute.

    Hello Heroes
It Wednesday and I am going to need something to draw for this week end. While I usually pick the themes for the lottery, this time I'll let regulars offer up suggestions. Most of you know what I do by now and seem to understand most of the restrictions involved, so it shouldn't be too out there. I'll pick the most viable sometime Thursday night and open it as a lottery by Friday morning at the latest.

It can be a repeat of one I've run before or a different take on a previous one.
It could be an entirely new idea, but these I might need to think about or tweak slightly.
The only real catch is that is must be open to a list and random roll still decides the winner.

I know it's summer so I'm not expecting a huge turn out, so no worries if this doesn't turn out. Feel free to ask questions here as I won't be in game at all this week end.
    AC
Ps. Do not offer up suggestions for a lottery you yourself would not enter.

    Hmm...

Weird Wedding Theme? Two random characters are picked and placed in a wedding situation and are about to be married! (Would be two winners essentially OR you could allow each person to submit two characters..)

Heroes vs Heroes. A hero or a small group of heroes versus another hero or group of matching number. Basically one of those typical "you and you fight" scenarios.

in honor of Guardians coming out next week: Stand with the Guardians! The picture will feature the winning character with Starlord, Groot and Rocket/variation of the guardians roster.

    or

Assemble with the Avengers! enjoy your new membership into Earth Mightiest Heroes! this picture would have the winner posing/standing along side several Avengers members, i..e. cap, Iron Man, etc.

Hello Heroes, thanks for responding. So far we got several workable themes going and I'm going to list them in the order posted - not preference.

    (01) Weird Wedding Theme? Two random characters are picked and placed in a wedding situation and are about to be married! (Would be two winners essentially OR you could allow each person to submit two characters..)

The only problem I see with this one is that I'd prefer to offer it as two individual winners but can't really do any prep work until the draw is closed and both have agreed. Still it could be a cool picture.

    (02) Heroes vs Heroes. A hero or a small group of heroes versus another hero or group of matching number. Basically one of those typical "you and you fight" scenarios.

This is sort of like the VS Lottery but without the melee restriction which can be tricky but fairly easy to run. This could be a charge or run with the "gamble"

    (03) I could see Pinup again, only open to more than just a patriotic theme. Or maybe a Western theme? Seen a resurgence of Western-esque Champions of late.

A more open version of the Pin-Up is easy enough, the Patriot restriction was just for the holidays anyways. It would still require a recognizable costume though. Street clothes are hard to make use of when the hero is mostly naked, lol.

Or how about "Double Trouble"? For those Champions with a Muultifarian doppleganger (Nemesis or alt), tying into that "Let's you and him fight" suggestionby Bellatorrex

Western theme is possible but I find the costume pieces to be hard to draw. Muultifarian is also possible but I'd like to keep the VS type stuff open to multiple players.

    (04) in honor of Guardians coming out next week: Stand with the Guardians!

I did a bunch of fake comic book covers where the winning hero got to join an existing team. I wasn't a full roster shot but you got to pick a co-star and then if there was room I would add a small cameo of another hero as well. A little more work but still very workable. This type's popularity usually depends on the team offered - so how about if we say the winner picks the team and co-star.

Not that the choice of lotteries is a draw but so far the Heroes vs Heroes seems the most popular. I'll check again when I get home from work later,

Looks like you've gotten quite a few great suggestions so far, AC. Every good superhero has a nemesis. For Batman it's the Joker, for Superman it's Lex. For the X-Men it's Bryan Singer.

So why not do a versus lottery. In this case it's the winner's hero versus that hero's nemesis!

All right I'm going to go with the majority and do another VS style lottery but I'm going to remove the melee only restriction. The catch here for me is that I want to know what your primary attack is. As an example: If Major Bruising (Behemoth or Freeform) spends most of his time pummeling people stupid with his fists then he's a brawler. To keep it fresh and honest I am going to keep the gambling mechanic intact. The rest is Cut & Paste from the previous lottery run.

    Hero VS Hero
It's one picture, two heroes and it's a fight. I like this one but it does run into a few snags every time I do it but you lot have been great so far. The idea is simple enough and requires a bit of a gamble.
    (01) I will compile a list and roll for two opponents, you won't know who your facing till the winners are pulled.
    (02) You will have one chance to back down, any necessary re-rolls will be made and once both players are committed, I will flip a coin in secret to decide the winner.

There's the real gamble, you don't know who you'll face and you won't know the outcome till I post the final piece. So no "RP" and no "'my Spec is awesome" factors - you must be willing to lose this fight to enter it. All the normal rules apply plus I will need your character's estimated height for scale purposes and if your hero uses a weapon I'll need to see a pic of it as well.

Standard Lottery Rules (these never change):
    (1) Post the name of your hero, (insert theme requirement).
    (2) Post your global name.
    (3) Post a full body, full color picture of the hero (doesn't need to be big, just showing head to toe).
    * do not post the screen-cap until a winner is announced, no screen cap no doodle however.

    Hero VS Hero

    (02)
    (03)
    (04)
    (05)
    (06) Silver Sentry@BobbyBlaze - The Blade, but uses Nightstick (placeholder)

I do like the Nemesis idea but I'll save that for now. Thanks for all the suggestion and good luck to participants. This is going to be a fast close due to my work schedule, so I'll close it sometime Friday night after work.

I confirm and will be getting a pic for you any moment. I'll be posting 3 if that's okay. (A front, back and action shot. Just in case.) Star Warden is 6'3.

Hello Heroes, I hope you're enjoying your summer so far. Anyway the Swimsuits & Sea Monsters lottery winner's picture is finally posted. "Congratz to Chernobyl!"

So I went with a maillot (one piece with straps or cutout) to both capture the your costumes abdominal patterns and to keep the colours simple and obvious. I hope you get a kick out of the summer time doodle.

That's awesome! Oddly, that's exactly what I pictured her bathing suit to look like. Thanks! Great stuff, that's the first art I've had done of her. :)
In game, I am @EvilTaco. Happily killing purple gang members since May 2008.

    Hello Heroes
I am way behind here and have a lot to catch up on. No excuses though because I am good for it. I have a lot of doodles on the go and will post them as I finish them regardless of original order. So let's get the art flowing again.

"I could see Pinup again, only open to more than just a patriotic theme."

"Or maybe a Western theme? Seen a resurgence of Western-esque Champions of late."

I'm not sure why this one stuck with me, maybe because I hate admitting something hard (like drawing the cowboy pieces).

"So Congratz to bluegrassbeast, I hope you get a kick out of the Manhunter Pin-up!"

Not at all, in fact I'm very flattered.
I just noticed that I seem to have erased a needed pencil line before finishing my inks, I'll post an undressed fix.

Sorry about that, but the lower hand/wrist is what hides the naughty bits.

Hello Heroes, the Hero Vs. Hero lottery winners' picture is now posted. "Congratz to Nisroc and Star Warden!"

This one catches me up on my current workload, I hope you get a kick out of it.

Some of you know that I've been reposting the Marvel themed Lottery pictures on the Marvel Heroes forums with permissions of course. The artwork here really does belongs to the winning heroes, so I really am asking for permission to reuse the Marvel ones. Thanks in advance,
    AC
