Well, the Star Wars license is in Disney's hands now anyway so I doubt that Lucas has any say anymore. Lucas was doing nothing but milking the heck out of the Clone Wars brand anyway so why would he be interested in anything Old Republic?

Yeah, Lucas doesn't have any say. If KoTOR 3 is not happening, it's likely because of a Disney decision now. Lucas is just a creative consultant these days.

Yeah, it's funny until Neverwinter bombs financially. A Cryptic game will end up on the chopping block, but it sure as $#!^ ain't gonna be property of CBS. I have a hard time seeing how CO survives if a failed NW launch busts Cryptic's budget.
I don't think ANY of cryptics games will ever have a year like that, nor do i think Champions will ever have a lifetime that would compare to that.
I'm a little miffed that supposedly Cryptic North has been working on this game since January, and all we really have to show for it are a few failed events, most of which could be one man's off duty work, or a few abandoned projects that got pushed out just to keep the forums from rioting. Considering how this game used to be about superheroes and the customization there of, i find it disturbing that we don't get new power sets or costumes on a regular basis. What has Cryptic North been doing the last 8 months? Unless it's a complete revamp of this game that rebalances the powers, updates and improves all the visuals and character models, and adds a lot more powers and costumes, then i really can't see how cryptic manages given their poor business ethic, poor execution of ideas, or just flat out not caring about the players of the fans. As bad as it might be, at least DCUO puts out new powers, costumes, and content every few months.
Cryptic North isn't just working on CO -- if it's even working on CO at ALL.
Who knows, it's not like they've talked to us.
As for 'what company DOES come out with this much?' Well, STO may not have had quite this level of production, but it's LEAPS AND BOUNDS better than CO. And we can keep making excuses.
The simple fact is, Cryptic is horrible. They've done a terrible job with their development. I'm not saying they are bad people, I'm not saying they might not have excuses.
But at the end of the day? It's business. And they've done a bad job.
