Thats just before he pushed me off the roof. If only I was spending less time posing and payed more attention to his mischievous growls that afternoon. People say my ego gets the better of me, what would they know.
My newest alt. He is the son of my main Erogar (has a pic of him earlier in this thread and is my avatar). Here is his armor with two schemes available.
Thanks I was once told I look like a cooler, more badass version of a Power Ranger. X-D
It's where I got my inspiration from so I guess I did something right.
Here's my favorites, hope you don't have arachnophobia...
Night Spider (Vigilante RP character)
His look is based off of the look of an actual spider, the chest/cowl of "fur" represents a spider's thorax which has a slight covering of hair (More Common on Tarantulas) the claws are to represent the claw like ends of a spider's legs. Top it off with the eyes and webs and you have a scary looking vigilante!
Ebony Tarantula (Villain RP character)
Ebony is partly inspired by Dr. Doom, Mr. Sinister and Norman Osborn (All Marvel owned characters) and thus I gave him a business like attire, the facemask is for the Tarantula part, it's prongs appear to be spider's fangs. Overall a creepy/formal look.
Ebon Widow (Hero RP character)
Widow is inspired by Black Widow (Obvious I know..) so her costume generally has military/assassin type of looks. This one being the most recent and practical looking.
Those are my main three, and yes. I have a thing for spiders.
I've lately been experimenting with the idea of a full-merfolk (not transformed into human) sitting in a land-walker harness. It hasn't won any contests but it gets a fair number of compliments and I'm digging the look. The big tail looks pretty entertaining when backflipping with acrobatics.

Hannelore here is a character I made as a bit of a lark, just messing around with the costume creator, but I've gotten compliments just standing around AFK in MC
Then, I wanted to see if I could create Red Riding Hood:
Funny thing is, I'm arachnophobic too...which is weird cause half of my roster is Spider themed characters.
Facing ones fear is part of being a hero, right? So rock on, brother.
Edit - If you can stand the skiving factor, try searching - colorful spiders. Bunches of combos out there to use for costumes. Even plenty of red and blue ones. Who knew, right? There was this purple and green one if your looking to make one in "traditional" villain colors.
What's the drop rate on those new costume pieces? I've run the mish several times on several different chars and all I'm getting is the regular vendor trash.
Thank you for the comments regarding my characters, their all FF custom built as i prefer to play my own creations instead of other peoples builds.
Is there a slightly faster way to relay a build to someone then typing it out entirely? Sorry might seem like a stupid question but i haven't posted any of my builds online yet.
@ Bluhman,
Im not sure if it was what you were going for but the "Tron" char also has a humanoid General Grievious vibe going on there, just some minor tweaks and you nailed it i think its to low tech and fleshy for a Tron-ike character
I've been experimenting a lot with the costume of my succubus character and with some recent changes it started to feel like: "Yes, that's it."
Even elements that I didn't originally like (the horns are to big and straight horns would be better, I don't want her to look chained, but the chain she uses in her powers must come from somewhere) seem to work now.
And additionally her winter costume. I wrote in her background that the cold would severly affect her, so, to remain consequent about it I had to put my Succubus in full armour that looks padded. Originally I didn't want the metallic look - I wanted her to look dark (the colour of the armor is actually full black) and metal looks too cold - but the dragon armor was too good to be ignored.
I actually like the last pic the most. Especially the boots how you made them look like it has frost. A nice concept how one would drastically change between climates.

I always like to create per environment costumes. Most of my characters have a distinct desert costume and a distinct cold weather costume. A few have jungle outfit and the two high level enough have a diving suit for Lemuria. This way I can remain consequent of always using the same costume for a character - The Marksmaid has only one hallmark look - but adapt to the environment.
As for the last pic, the greatest challange was to keep her face covered, but to be able to display her normal eyes with the normal make-up.

I am the same when it comes to costumes that ties to that zone. I usually begin with a simple costume for Millennium City (i.e. hero outfit or armor for just starting out hero) and then when I lvl up a character to go to the next zones I create a costume before I step foot there. I RP a lot so when RPs have us going to areas like Canada or the Desert, I have a costume ready for use.
I must say that this toon is hardly my favorite and often played. It was made when the Unleashed AT was introduced, but I never liked it enough to play even to 20 lvl. Same was when it was freeform.
But I do like her costume and how it turned out. From proportions to arms and armor.

It's always sad when you have a great costume, but the build/concept does not excite.
I create Tyro, Lord of Soderfjord, as a back before they had created The Devastator hoping he wound swing a huge hammer as my old Tyro did when I played TT D&D in the '80s. All I could chose for him at the time was The Behemoth and it did not feel right.
Even though it seem wrong for the costume, I re-made him as a Glacier and had a blast using him that way. I did a little re-write in his Bio explaining that his magical gear began to fail him and that he turned to Witchcraft for help and how she was able to combine the magic from one of his rings with his mighty looking hammer that now allowed him access to the plane of Ice Elementals and that they would willing do his bidding in the name of justice etc.
Or something like that. ;-)
If you really like a costume, there are always ways to make it work with another concept. All you need do is get creative with a bio. Or skip the bio all together and just have fun playing as a Giant Gorilla that is using The Inferno because you think a Giant Gorilla looks cool and you really enjoy The Inferno.
Will never work with this toon, because it's character concept closely linked with use of blades and a name that makes it not very RPable. And without bronze blades it's no longer the same concept, neither name makes sense.
Not a big problem overall, since making quality costumes isn't too difficult for me. So one not being used very often is hardly a tragedy.

I decided to rework two of my costumes from my last post
Gave Night Spider here a lighter color pallet to make the webs stand out...also inspired by these two!

And then I promptly got carried away
Tinker
A.N.N.I.E. (it doesn't stand for anything):
Gravity Lass
And lastly
Army Brat: (who's won me a few CCs in the cute category)
Just a suggestion because I came across a Arachnophobic individual just about a week ago or so...
Try posting the links to the Spider pics instead of the HUGE actual pics. Just as a courtesy.
The costumes look great, of course. Using nature for inspiration is always clever.

I just saw it this past week and OMG I'm STILL gobsmacked over that film.
Enough so that I started fiddling around with a design in the costume creator as an homage to the lead robot in the film - Gipsy Danger.
"TODAY WE ARE CANCELLING THE APOCALYPSE!!!"
Now all we need is an in-combat size magnifier and a Devastator heavy weapon in the form of a supertanker.
*drools* I am always a sucker when it comes to designing armors/power armors. Well done mate!
