Can we please get some actual comic book superhero costumes?

I'm am so tired of all this furry crap. This is a superhero MMO is it not? I mean, a teddy bear costume? Really?

    But yes, there were some excellent costume suggestions made by players as well as drawn up such as Heroic Fashion by Spordelia (linked in my signature).

    I am quite disappointed that these have not been picked up.

    I couldn't agree more. Meanwhile, they occasionally do add really good costume pieces for actual humanoids to the game--I'm looking at you, big bulky boots from a set I don't quite recall the name of, as well as the shadow destroyer stuff. But alas, when I find out it's in the GCR store instead of the C-Store, all I can do is sigh, put my credit card back in my wallet, and wait until something else shows up.

    I don't know if you've checked but we actually have a lot of traditional comic book hero stuff in the game. I'm not sure how you could miss it in fact o3o

    While I'll agree with spinny that there actually is a decent share of traditional hero stuff in the game, I would agree that it'd be nice to have new options for tights.​​

    I have to agree with this. There already a lot of traditional super hero costume in the customization selection. Have you explore all the option yet? What would you suggest they should add that haven't been already added into the list yet?

    Tight specific sets have not been added to the tailor in about 4 years. There are TONS of desired basic patterns that have been suggested over the years. We have several patterns of tights that have no matching mask/boots/gloves/etc. Simple eye mask have never been added except for those basic like three-ish.

    So yeah...super hero stuff has every right to be argued for, at least more than more furry stuff for sure.

    I will repeat that a category that really could use more options are the stuff from Spordelia's heroic fashion set: more casual haristyles, more casual facial hair, more civilian clothes and accessories.

    If this set were in the C-Store, I would buy it on release date.

    There certainly isn't a lack of suggestions for western comic-book superhero (the game's actual genre) tights, gloves, boots, and accessory costume pieces/sets..... or to updates for this genre of costume pieces. There certainly doesn't need to be much justification for more of this stuff, it's essentially connected to the game and the RPG PnP game it's based on....

    That's not to say that other types of costume pieces can't fit in the broad church of this genre though. I'd argue that there is a place for animal themes, robot themes and fantasy themes (amongst others) in there too. I think we should distinguish between theme and style.

    Bear costumes for example. There's fitting the overall broad genre......

    How about more...
    • Boot/shoe styles
    • Patterns for tights
    • Skin-level tattoos
    • Stocking options for females (or males too, because why not?)
    • Weapon skins
    • Hairstyles (most of the ones we have are really bad)
    • Accessories (wrist, arm, leg, hair, etc...all over)
    • Jackets/coats/robes (short and long)
    • Skirts/shorts/shirts/belts/misc "non-tight" clothes
    • Options for fingerless gloves

    Also:
    • A fix for the weird bug that makes long coats often stick in legs
    • Better slider control for hips/waist/bust
    • More "extreme" settings for female characters. What I mean is you can make extremely skinny or bulky males, but females are more limited. I'll come up and say right now that I do not mean bigger boob options. Caprice doesn't need this.

    They only things here that are true suggestions are the fixes, the want for more stuff isn't even remotely close to a suggestion, just a wish for more stuff, which they are constantly adding.

    Give examples of boots/shoes/etc. Don't say you want more than call that a suggestion. Like, for example, you say you want more weapon skins, like what? Devs could interpret your suggestion as add in a giant leek weapon skin (which, btw, has actually been asked for in the past).

    The Teddy Bear thing was requested years ago. It's been a long time coming, and it's a freebie for subscribers , another thing that was requested a long time ago. Stuffed bear characters were actually advertised in a video a long time ago and then never available outside of a device. There are dozens of super hero tights options in the game. Maybe you haven't purchased them?

    We need an Animal Husbandry crafting system that allows players to sheer the fur off the furries and knit themselves a new costume.
    This will spark a whole new wave of PVP enthusiasm.

    Part of the problem with old tights costumes is that new sets look significantly better than the old ones. And tend to actually have all of the pieces. Older hairs look terrible compared to newer stuff.

    Would be nice to have older costume bits updated occasionally. Not a major revamp all at once, but a piece or two at a time.

    There is a big difference between animal heroes and Five Nights at Freddy's rip-offs. One of those things is lame. Spoiler: it's the latter.

    And I'm all for animal themed heroes. Like I just made a Bat guy and a dog themed hero. But my heroes are all usually humans in animal themed tights and accessories.

    I mean...there are still ways to satisfy both parties.

    What is an "actual comic book superhero costume"?

    Is it tights and capes?
    Cybernetics and power armor?
    "Street" or military style clothing? Maybe a "cowboy" get up?
    Do any of the "My Little Pony" characters qualify as a superhero? I know they have a comic so they are halfway there.

    "Comic book superhero" covers a lot of ground and so the answers you get as to what would be an appropriate costume will vary greatly.

    That bear suit, though... :scream:

    Billy Cohen was just an average citizen until one day he ate a Skittle that had been submerged in Chemical B. After eating the skittle he gained super strength, but it also made him look really ugly and smell super bad and he had to hide his appearance. The only thing he had on hand was an old teddy bear costume from last halloween and everyone he knew was about to walk into the room, so he quickly put it on. Another part of the serum was that his skin became super sticky so the ugly old teddy bear costume stuck to his skin and could never be removed. From that day forward he was known as... a pretty depressed guy, but also as the super hero Justice Bear.

    Now that bear suit is a super hero costume.

    All I really need to do is point at the costume suggestion thread and others like it. Lots of great stuff there. The point was to draw attention to the fact that there's still a ton of styles out there just waiting to be added. Sure beats rolling out another batch of animal parts.​​

    there where a few costume ideas id been hoping for so i can make Pantera (character from my book)

    flats: like the glass slipper using leather, only without the heel


    A turtle neck halter top


    and tights with a foot strap


    not to mention hair styles, with longer hair and elf braids with front tails that go over their ears, maybe some anime kinds too
