I was asked to take over the older costume bugs thread. I'll just post mostly a copy and slowly work my way through the posts in the old thread, so please have a little patience with me.

When posting a bug be sure to include the name of the costume and, if necessary, a screenshot displaying the bug.

Please only post costume bugs, not suggestions. While I'm sure many of you want costumes available in more categories, unless it's actually causing some issues, or inconsistent across genders, reserve those suggestions for another thread. Any suggestions posted will be removed.

    Geometry Issues

    Female
    Chest & Arms → [Costume Piece] Zombie
    The normal maps on this costume are inverted. The model was changed along with the basic tights model when all those inverted normal problems were occurring, but was not corrected when the basic tights model was corrected.

    Hands → [Costume Piece] Variable Robot, Steampunk Electro-Gauntlet, Armor Scalloped w/ Claws, Armor Gauntlet Spiked, Armor Gauntlet Short, Armor Blaster, Ancient Mystical Claw, Armor Gladiator Gauntlets
    Fingers are not hooked up properly with the skeleton. This causes the fingers to stretch and do weird things in certain poses and animations. A good way to reproduce this is to go into the Huge Beast or Vixen stance.

    Headwear → [Costume Piece] Headband
    Does not seem to be rigged properly in the back. This is causing it to do odd things when using headscales.

    The basic female chest model has many faults, causing distortion with the textures it uses. Most textures do not align properly on the side of the model. Here is the basic female model with a UVMap overlay to emphasize where the model is distorting the textures.

    geometry is see-through from the rear of the model. As in, you can see the world beyond your legs through your legs. The front of the pants do not seem to share the problem.

    The left shoulder is not affected by certain visual effects (examples: Starlight Aura, Bionic Shielding, Phoenix Flight).

    MirrorGeometry Errors

    Texture is calling to the Male version. This is causing the head to look improperly wrapped as well as causing the ears to have a uncolorable white spot.

    Every texture available has a seem along the index finger that's using the wrong color.

    Texture does not color the nails. The nails are colorable under the regular Short Glove.

    Once had a stripe midway down the dress that was colorable by the 3rd color channel. Roughly a month after its release this option disappeared.

    Do not scale with the shoulder scale.

    Travel power animation
    Most travel powers will cause the players neck to elongate to 2-3x the normal length while in motion. Ground based travel powers will apply this affect while in their ready stance as well.

    Has clipping issues with the majority of the legs available in the Short Skirt category.

    Most wings are not modeled specifically for females and tend to not attach properly to the back because of this.

    Any mood other than normal (facial expressions) deforms the goggles for males, for females they are no affected.

    Available for Males. The costume exists for Females but is not unlocking for them.

    Available for Females. The costume exists for Males but is not unlocking for them. This may be intentional as the Harajuku set is female only, but seems odd to have a male version available but not unlockable.

    Half Helmets → Head Type → [Costume Piece] Cyborg, Horse, Junkbot Television, Junkbot Television 2, Junkbot Toaster, Skull, Skull With Neck
    Costumes available to Males under the Half Helmets category. These costumes are not available to Females under the same category.

    Males have a unique material called Bare Skin under the Skin chest option. It's understandable that females do not get this, however, females have textures found in that list littered across their own unique Skin chest materials: Serpent, Animal and Monstrous. There are a few textures that males have that should also be available to females as they are no more revealing than the textures females use in Serpent, Animal and Monstrous. The Patterns are: Swirl, Spots, Cracked Flesh Monster, Cracked Flesh Spots, Crocodile, Crocodile Stripes, and Underside.

    Tailor UI Bugs

    Male → Categories → Upper → Tights & Skin, Robotic Right, Robotic Left, Robotic Both, Miscellaneous, Integrated Shoulders, Jacket, Full Shirts, Chest Wear
    Categories are excluding the Male Lower Skeletal category. The Female versions do not do this.

    Male → Categories → Lower → Tights & Skin
    Category is Excluding the Hips Layer bone (Hips Wear and Gear). Female Lower Tights & Skin does not do this.

    Categories → Weapons → Munitions Handgun, Gadgeteer Experimental Blasters
    Tailor stances are calling to the wrong animations. Selecting those weapons currently places your character into the static stance instead of placing them in the appropriate weapon stance.

    The Default button is calling to a texture that doesn't exist.

    When selecting the fourth color for a costume piece, hovering over the color choices will not update the preview on the character model like the other three colors do.

    Claw weapons are not properly mirrored. Left version is facing incorrectly.

    left/right materials
    On some costumes, materials cannot be individually set for the left or right side on costume pieces with a mirrorgeometry. When either left or right is given any material, the other side is changed too. A good way to reproduce is with the default costumes. When the default freeform costume from the character creator is used left/right materials cannot be set individually, when using the default costume by pressing the default key in the tailor left/right materials can be set individually.

    Weapon color
    If you set all of your base costume colors to the same color, then set all the colors of your weapon to that color, the weapon colors reset to defaults. You can do it the other way around without issue, set all your weapon colors to the same color, then set all your base costume colors to that color.

    Power Armor hue
    The color of the Shoulder Launcher and Minigun (Power Armor) is effected by the power hue.

    As per your request

    Chest Wear > Chest Layer > Rock

    I looked at it again in game just now, and the same issue is applying to the Rock Claw (bracers)... so either the "shiny" material on ALL the other pieces needs to be toned down to come in line with the chest & claw bracers or the chest and claw bracers need their material fixed to have the same effect as the rest of the rock pieces...

    For the rest of the set the "shiny" option looks like a dual luster metal, with the gemstones being shinier than the rock. (Compared with the metal texture, the gems have the metal texture on shiny, and the rest is a dulled down metal texture)

    Cyber beast feet missing textures with cloth/leather materials.
    Arcane Demon (Unlocked With: Demonchest of Recognition or Demon Collar) - This pattern is missing for males and npc's can use it.
    Armor Superconductor (Unlocked With: Superconductor Torso) - Missing for females, npc's have this one too.
    All Irradiate pieces missing for females.
    4th color at tailor can't be previewed without actually clicking on it.
    All jacket bottoms have weird, ridiculous puffed physics for like 4 or 5 years already.
    Serpent Horned head got 2 white dots in its eyes, horribly annoying and especially noticeable if you set eyes to solid.
    Long boots tribal have bugged textures for males behind at the bottom.
    Headless option doesn't allow to remove eyes.
    Demon Long Jaw head gets it's teeth bugging when you move the chin slider up.

    Glow Tights texture/pattern is not available to beast legs, only to humanoid legs.

    Fix the color issue so that they blend with tights.

    You can't change the individual materials on any item that has a right or left piece option, such as gloves or boots, on females.

    Below are some screenshots of some pieces with some fairly bad clipping, imo. The first two are from the basic vest, the last is from the bustier strapless chest wear piece.

    Not sure of the exact section for this since it's an inconsistency that might not be a bug. The boot "Long Boot Lightning" with Pattern: Lightning has four color channels with the lightning bolt object being on color 4. The corresponding glove "Long Glove Lightning" with Pattern: Lightning has the Lightning Bolt object sharing the same color channel as the outline (color 3) instead of being on a separate channel.

    Feet → [Costume Piece] Long Boot Tribal 2
    Materials are listed as "Cloth and Skin," "Leather and Skin," and "Metal and Skin," but the options actually change both the clothing and the skin to cloth, leather, or metal.

    Feet → [Costume Piece] Scalloped w/ Claws
    Changing the material for the clothing also changes the material for the skin to match.

    Feet → [Costume Piece] Wrapped Bare Feat
    Changing the material for the clothing also changes the material for the skin to match.

    Feet → [Costume Piece] Wrapped w/ Claws

    The Default Hoverboards and the VTOL ones have problems. They seem to be inverted for example the VTOL ones have ornaments on one side which has bigger turbines which should be like they appear next to Windchill in Millenium City. The Therakiel Blades hoverboards don't have this issue.

    I've had this issue too. Though I only got it on boots/feet and gloves/hands, and I got it on males too.

    When I, for example, changed the material of the left boot to metal, the material of the right boot also changed to metal. I'm trying that right now on the default female costume, and it's still the case.

    I was able to work around it by going with 90s Boot on one foot, and Long Boot Urban on the other. Long Boot Urban is, thankfully, missing the metal material. So when I set the material of 90s Boot to metal, the game couldn't change the material of Long Boot Urban to match, because it doesn't have a metal material.

    I suppose it's possible the problem doesn't affect all users. Try exactly what I just did. Then if you don't get the issue, we'll know it's just a few people affected. Load the game up, and start creating a female character. Select Freeform and keep the default costume. Go to your boots, select just the left one, and change the material to metal. Did the right one also change to metal?

    Actually found that Power tinting was bleeding it's colour into Shoulder Cannon and Minigun models.

    If you set all of your base costume colors to the same color, then set all the colors of your weapon to that color, the weapon colors reset to defaults. You can do it the other way around without issue, set all your weapon colors to the same color, then set all your base costume colors to that color.

    Rock Claw Bracers & Rock Body still use a different material map for Shiny than the rest of the sets.

    As can be seen, there is a costume option for a Psionic helmet for Full Mask for male characters:

    However there is no such option for Full Mask for female characters.

    Please new Dev team, could you fix this oversight and add the option for female characters to be able to wear a Psionic helmet with Full Mask too? Thanks! :smile:

    Irradiate Jacket 2 I think, the ones with holes in the jacket don't show the character wearing them, looks empty holes.

    I can confirm this, the Rocker outfit, the Hip Flaps clip thru the thighs on high mass builds and comes thru the hip with blocking with Heavy Weapons.

    Bug: (Leg) Pouches missing on male models

    Under Tights & Skin > Leg Accessories, female models have awesome leg pouches on a costume piece named "Pouches". It is even available on Free-to-Play Silver accounts for females. However, male models seem to no longer have this.

    Bug(?): Shoulder Capes clip with a lot of animations, since they are affixed to the torso as opposed to the shoulders.
    Bit of an extreme animation shown below, but it does show how the shoulderpads are connected. No, this doesn't just affect emotes, it happens with basic animations such as the acrobatics run, most combat animations, etc. This is not a problem with a few larger shoulder pieces that are affixed to the torso, but these are thin enough to cause major clipping.

    Has anyone mentioned the bizarre midsection shape of the male holo hex armor torso? Is that intentional? Because it's waaay narrower than the normal human torso. It's like the spine is pressed up against the back of the abdominal muscles at one point.

    The back of the vest basic closed is still being affected by whatever changes were made to the basic model last year. Running, jumping, and attacking (*Not just with munitions) cause similar clipping.

    Minor but : since the vikorin left shoulder has been rebalanced for females, it's "forgotten" by on-skin effects. Especially noticeable with ice sheath aura and such.

    The Dragon Flame weapon skin for Fighting Claws, as well other Claws from the pack change their colors on the third strike of Viper's Fangs.

    Yo is there something that's going to be done about the missing textures for the Luchador Hips piece under 'Hips Wear & Gear'?

    And for the sake of consistency here is a picture of proof:



    The area between the upper thighs. About half a year ago I decided to pick up this costume part from the PVP vendor, went to try it out everything seemed fine, up until a few months back in 2016 I was editing it and was looking at the character's legs. Found oue the textures for this costume part when used would case the either by there to be gone.

    Since it's under Hips Wear & Gear I've replicated this several times.

    The Vines back piece from the Swamp King costume set breaks when you increase the body mass slider. A tendril that trails down the right side of the back loses its proper geometry and turns into a malformed 2-D section. The same section/tendril on the left side scales properly.

    Bug: Mechanical > Attachment Arms > Toxic Steel

    The arms on the female model are a hot mess. It's too low and back. Arm accessories also show the misalignment. None of the other robot arms are messed up like these ones. Didn't bother checking for error on the male model.

    For male characters, the Metal materials for Monster 01 and 02 bodies do not match the Monster 01 and 02 legs. The bodies are entirely shiny, and the legs only have small portions that appear metallic. In addition, the Monster 02 Legs Detail appears asymmetrical.

    The Monster feet ("Monstrous Feet" purchased from Dweomer) also do not appear in the feet selector, and can only be equipped from the tailor's "unlocked costume parts" tab. (the feet also are missing all material selections, which has been reported to the separate missing materials thread)

    The Sacred Helmet for females sits too high on the head. The eyes don't line up with the eye hole in the helmet and you can see the jaw hanging down below the bottom of the helmet when looking at it from the side.

    Also, Males apparently get a neck option that is unavailable for females. The piece is tagged as "NPC: Sacred" though, so whether it is even supposed to be available for males is in question.

    Socrates Boots don't seem to cover the back of the lower legs as I've had the legs clip thru them, scaling Issue?

    The head clips through Long loose hair on females while moving or using abilities. This is more noticeable when using something like Cleave.

    Just thought I should mention that the Roin'esh head also leaves a small gap between the neck and the body. It's not as big or as noticeable as the gap on the feet, but it's still there.

    you used to get colour 1 as boots and be able to colour soles and laces. You now can't​​
