New Alerts: The Airship Thingie, which noone really plays (we know it continues the Doctor Destroyers plans of return). Warlord is nice. Red Winter is pretty good one. Hi Pan is nice. Gravitar is nice.

Nighthawk: Who? All i have seen is Nighthawk?. That's what people say who weren't here when the Nighthawk "Event" was on. The whole plot why Nighthawk has returned is gone.

Vehicles: Yeah. Very nice travel powers.
Hey, i'm not complaining. I got my Prototype Hawkwing AND the 1500Zen refund for it. I got the Avalanche Tank with 1st key of 5. I got the Ridgeback Tank with 1st Key of 3 from AH. Stop holding the bikes and gimmegimmegimme!

Z(C)store content: It's allways nice to get something to spend my monthly 500Z to. MORE TIGHTS!!! We got Cosmic Keys!!!!

Power Reworks: Allways nice. But New Power Set would be even nicer. Reworking is everlasting circle.

New/Update Events: Yea, Nighthawk "Event" was nice. It's gone. Destroid Invasion was nice. It's gone. Blood Moon is same as allways, with little tweakings. Good that it's not on every month. Let me do the Fidggin Finkle Foundry!!!!

New Items: What, where? The Legacy Devices? Legacy Costume pieces? Lock Boxes? Heirlooms?

Yes, they actually removed playable content from the game. Like what the heck?
I do hope they get that coming 'Major Content' working. No hurry.

Exactly. And not to mention the Nighthawk patch broke ALOT of things, Destroid event never worked to begin with and the vehicles was just another way to shove more keys down our throats.

And it's been well over a month and a half to two months since anything came out. I haven't even had a new costume set to spend my stipends on for quite some.

What *I* don't understand is why some people get so butt-hurt about a negative comment directed at a company they have nothing to do with. If you enjoy the game, that is awesome. It's a fun game the first time around. Doing the same missions over and over and over on alts gets old. Lack of end game content gets old. The game isn't dead yet, just stale.

I hope for the best for this game, I really do, but I have a hard time even logging in anymore besides to chat with friends. I want more stuff to do so I can enjoy it like I used to.

Your analogy is wrong. It's more like if the boss puts up with no effort at all, why would an employee strive to work any harder. If the employee thinks he is doing a good job, why would he do anything different? If the employer doesn't feedback the mistakes the employee is making, how will they improve? For a long time many players have been feeding Cryptic constructive criticism, but however positive it has been, it has largely been ignored, which is why so few people bother to report bugs on PTS anymore as they still make it to live regardless. In the end people are bound to rage in frustration as we are human and not saints.

To carry your analogy further, if you as a boss had an employee who continued to produce insufficient and shoddy work and when you asked for an explanation or tried to give them guidance you were ignored, how would you respond? Sadly, we cannot fire Cryptic and/or PWE and employ new staff. but I sure wish we could.

The reason many players are so vocal in their criticism is that they enjoy CO despite the fact they feel abandoned. They keep hoping for light at the end of the tunnel, but it seems the tunnel ends in a precipice.

    jonsills wrote: »
Tell me, zenith, have you ever worked with a boss who seemed bent on denigrating your work and belittling everything you did? Did that make you want to work harder just to show him, or did that make you want to do the very least you could get away with because it was never going to matter to him anyway?

Have you ever worked customer service? Did it make you work any harder when the customers came in screaming vile imprecations and curses upon your parentage? Especially when the problem was nothing you could do anything about anyway, but company policy forbade saying so?

    You are both right.

The simple fact of the matter is that we are not the CO dev(s?) employers. We do not set their work load. We do not set their priorities. Cryptic management and/or PWE do.

We have no indication that the actual worker(s), the individual developer(s) are not doing exactly as they are told/allowed to do.

On the other hand one of the most important rules of customer service is communication. Letting the customer know how you intend to address his concerns with your service/product is key to ensuring that he isnt left with the impression that you do not value his patronage. We all know (or should) that problems happen. Good customer service involves not only fixing the problems but also keeping the customer in the loop of how, when, etc the problems will be addressed. Good customer service, in the face of even the most severe of problems, can help to avoid much of the worst of the negativity we see around here.

is there going to be Grandfather Winter Sets again? I wasn't level 40 last year Dammit, or just Arsenal Lock boxes.
By the time I had started playing 12sky it had petered. Everything was out of control including Gold Spammers. Worst of all their lockbox program sucked also, and seldom (never) did I get one damn thing of value from one.

I am glad we have lockboxes here, I wish there were free er ways to get mods and vehicles though. I think it drives alot of players to leave the game.

I just hope Christmas is a good surprise not a heavily commercial target for Perfect World, and forgive me, the change spooks me. I was very settled and happy with it under Cryptic.

According to the in-game calendar, it should start tomorrow (as I type, it's 9:54 pm Pacific, and server time). I don't know if it kicks on at midnight, or around like 10am tomorrow; we'll have to see, I suppose. Hell of a way to run a railroad, though.

Someone mentioned a vague reference to 10am on the website. I haven't seen it yet.

Its Christmas day and still this event is not started. What the hell is wrong with you Cryptic? Are you seriously going to start an event at the exact same time when everyone is busy celebrating Christmas with their families? I don't think your happy unless you make a complete flop of each and every event in this game now days so in that case GREAT JOB once again!

It's true. Why would anybody start a holiday event on a game during the long weekend BEFORE the holiday when they can start it halfway through the day of the holiday when everybody is busy and returning to work the next day?

In somebody's mind that makes perfect sense. If I didn't have a lifetime sub, I would have given up on this game long ago.

Duratok, you might want to try launching outside of steam and see if it works as a stand-alone.

I've been having issues with Champions on steam ever since they had their "Big Picture" update, but I can play it just fine when I launch it independently.

Just one of these drops when you complete the Foundry boss (loot spot shows up) as the mission automatically completes. You'll have to go get another mission item from Clarence to go in again (up to 7 times a day per toon).

Can you also make the devs make the costume drops tradeable? I don't who it was that decided it, but it's annoying as hell getting the goggles non stop when i need the backpack etc. and it's bind on pickup. so we can't even trade our spare costumes for ones we need because it's bound meaning we have 6 days to run ths mission 36 times from what i know, there is at least 4 costumes, and 12 gear pieces, meaning it's going to result in lots of repeat junk items that you can't do a thing with.

Also the bound to account gear is broken since it's designed to scale to your level, except you need to be a high level to hope to do the mission to even win the gear, making level scale pointless

And yeah, if they could change the flag on the Winter costume bits, like the new Steampunk pieces, so they can be traded, that'd be awesome. I've got like... 2 Electro-Gauntlets and 3 Pointy Mustaches I'd love to trade.

It's just not the same without the Wiki Mistress around during Events. Still this might be helpful.

Lohr practically updated events live "in the old days". Before any event was over, every body knew if they were missing a new goodie or if they had gotten everything they could out of an event.

Okay. I'm going to take a stab at this since you reply to my post, but honestly someone else could probably explain this better than I can, but I'll give it a try.

Believe it or not, the Wiki was not set up by CO and it is not updated by them. So far as I know, no employee has ever updated a single page. But it was selected by Cryptic as the best Player run wiki for CO and was considered to be the official CO wiki.

Lohr, a CO player, was consider to be in charge of the Wiki. She did most of the updates and did best to recruit helpers, other players, but as far as I know she never had a big staff or a lasting one. So while anyone CAN get in there and update stuff, for the longest time it was pretty much just Lohr, the Wiki-Mistress.

Next time you are on a Wiki page, click on a History tab. Most edits are STILL hers even now and even though she's not really playing here much. As recent as a month ago, I checked and nearly every recent edit had been hers.

Like I said, somebody else can explain Wiki situation better than I can, but I'm pretty close to the mark, I think. Well, good enough for gov't work.

You actually have to just destroy one. Without a Tank build it can be hard, though I am sure those with uber builds will be fine, but grouping is the better choice.

It will depend on your character of course, but it can be soloed by some builds. You only need to kill one mecha as Bwdares said.
