In today's PTS update, we will debut our new Fourth of July Event with two new daily missions.
Fourth of July Event
There are two missions being granted by Liberty Guard near Defender in Renaissance Center:
- Stars and Stripes Forever!
- Freedom Isnt Free
New Powers Update:
- Gadgeteering: Boomerang Throw: This power bounces between your foes, dealing crushing damage. The number of bounces increase based on how long it is charged for.
- Gadgeteering: Boomerang Cone: This power throws a series of boomerangs in a 120' cone in front of you.
- Gadgeteering: Gas Pellets: This power throws 4 gas pellets that deal damage and slow enemies caught in the cloud.
- Gadgeteering: Grapple Gun Pull: This power deals crushing damage and pulls your target to you.
- Gadgeteering: Strafing Run: This power is not yet complete. It will be changing soon!
- Gadgeteering: Bolas: Paralyze your foe and deal heavy crushing damage with these spinning bolas.
- Martial Arts: Night Warrior: This new passive increases all damage and grants the use of the Sneak power. Some powers gain an additional secondary benefit when used while sneaking. Purchasing this power automatically grants sneak. Sneak ranks up with this power.
- Martial Arts: Smoke Bomb Lunge: Disappear in a cloud of smoke and reappear near your foe, dealing crushing damage.

- Teams: Spam Join and Leave from Open Mission Team while in Red Winter Alert.

- UI: The Archetype Power Progression window has a large gap and cuts off powers gained after level 21.

Though, those new powers sound great and I'm interested in some, so kudos where it's due.
The wings on the female body being lodged in the shoulder maybe make the wing stalks a bit smaller? So they fit on the female body and not cut into the shoulder.
Also fix the issues with might.. Take back the 30% nerf of all the might powers and give them the damg they need. Thats all for now thanks
Darkness powerd nemises vanishing in the middle of alerts or dureing missons and not able to take them down.
Fix the super group messege of the day. Can't delete or change it easyly it always bugs out and the issue is. It won't show where your typeing at
Also this is a big..one..Fix it so the report spam can't be used agenst people in CC's That have done nothing wrong..Make it so it can't be used or remove it compleatly. I know its not a bug..but really its not needed anymore
Also not sure this is really a bug but. Fix the supergroup mail so it dosen't spam every charecter you have in the sg. Have it so it only spams one. So there is no mail spam.
Also fix the beast scartches emote so its not longer unstraslated
Fix the cutscene with Therakiel. So at the end he does destroy the cathdral and the pillers and the pews arn't still there. Also make it so his hold that he uses it on Calaburn can't be usd on the player..Because it takes forever to break out of.
Get rid of that worthless music in the club. Put something that is worth listing to should ask the players what they want.
The Foxbat mobs useing the default gadgettier pistol as well as viper in mc and in the desert. I think I also saw some use it in monster island but i aint to sure..
Also in Therakiels temple the lazer eye statues can be pushed back or moved by the healing drones in the attack mode with their beam attack.

1. Add a boomerang energy builder. It could be you simply throwing the boomerangs out w/o them doing the full return trip back to you - they could be a little smaller if needed and the throwing animation could reflect that they're not being thrown in the same careful manner as the ones that do return to you.
2. Give the gas pellet power an advantage that placates enemies or perhaps has a chance to wipe your threat.
3. Give the grappling gun an advantage that adds a charge, makes it deal a little more crushing damage, (based upon charge time), and knocks an enemy down instead of pulling them toward you, (if you charge it over 25% or something).
4. Make it so if you don't maintain Bolas long enough to paralyze the target, it instead slows them w/ a chance to knock them down.
5. Give smoke bomb lunge an advantage that puts you back in stealth when you use it - only for like 2 seconds, (long enough to take advantage of the extra damage from being in stealth for your next attack or 2). I'm also thinking that this ability would be perfect for getting close and dropping a proximity mine or drops sigils undetected...

Also, night warrior will boost ranged damage? I sense new complications regarding your much ignored pvp community.
Post "OnAlert" gear being unable to see through teleport in pvp is already a problem without a new ninja passive.
Perhaps we could buff the numbers on perception mods and maybe even add some 2ndary gear pieces that buff perception, if time permits.
The old standard was that two pieces of perception gear would let you see through teleport. I would like to see a return to that if possible.
Can we get a description of what this power will do when complete?

Too bad I cant access the PTS shard right now! I would have loved to test the new powers and missions and give a lot of feedback about it! Is there no smart, strong and handsome dev who could do something about that?

Daaaaayum, I want!
First, Smoke Bomb lunge requires Nailed to the Ground and Crippling Challenge, minimally, also a unique advantage for it would be appreciated, like, stealth immediately for .5 seconds (a target break in PvP).
Second, And most importantly, Night Warrior, well, first off, I do find that Sneak has improved there are still gaping issues, first its speed, can't use a travel power with it, so in a PvP matter, its rather frustrating, because all your enemies will be jumping around, you'll rarely catch them, if ever, unless you decided to play a ranged build... but the melee end is didly squat dead, also, there is only one method of breaking out of combat to reactivate sneak, Smoke Bomb, the CD on this power is way too long, making it rather useless in a PvE fight, as all the mobs would be dead, pretty useless to bother with using, oh not to mention if you do sucessfully stealth and soloing, the mobs will usually reset. Sneak also cannot function properly in a team, because if one member gets into combat, then you go into combat too, breaking sneak, and if we bring that to a PvP scenario, you are ALWAYS incombat, so sneak will always turn off. With Night Warrior itself, it has NO defenses at all, no other passive gives NO defenses, even though sneak is its 'defense' as shown earlier sneak is broken too easily, so you are actually in combat with absolutely 0 defenses, for a ranged user, there is little point in taking this over say, Quarry, and for a melee, there is surely no reason AT ALL to take this over Way of the Warrior. And one more, for Night Warrior, it boosts all damage, however this is... a bit bad on balance, there is no reason to be a melee user with this passive than a ranged user, especially with the above mentioned, but not like anyone would really use this pasive over Quarry or Way of the Warrior, or even Unstoppable for that matter, at least it gives /some/ defense, versus none at all. Night Warrior should probably be primarily melee secondarily ranged, (full melee and half or 2/3 ranged) and it should grant some incombat defenses (5-10% dodge and Avoidance would be appropriate). Overall, Night Warrior is a step in the right direction and a good Idea, but its far from being considerable or competitive with other offensive passives.
As far as the quest goes... its just a new TP (I think its superspeed with patriotic colors) and a sidekick.

I'll have to agree on all of this. Sneak needs to hide you from mobs unless you are right in their face, should be able to be activated in combat (even if it can be interrupted), and it should only cancel when the particular player with sneak attacks or is attacked.
Sneak:
-Not enough stealth at any rank, ESPECIALLY not on elite/tough making it completely worthless end game
-Teammates in combat still cancels your sneak
-AoEs still easily knock you out of Sneak
-No way to get back into Sneak in combat
-Should boost single target over aoes and melee over range but should still boost all 4. Ala 100% for ST and Melee, 50% for melee aoe, 50% for ST and range, 25% for aoe and range
-Should not have toggle fall off, rather the buff just disappears until *insert method for regaining Sneak mis combat* occurs, not retoggle the whole power... unless you make retoggling the method for gaining Sneak again mid combat
Night Warrior:
-Split the All damage boost, have it give far higher amount to ST and half that to AoEs
-Give it some form of minor defense boost
-Give it some type of energy gain perhaps while in Sneak / x seconds after exiting Sneak
Why not? Plus, stalkers aren't the first stealth users in a videogame, and there are plenty of stealth-heroes!
Good good glad to hear it. Haven't read all the comments so apologies in advance if I am repeating anything already said so I'll just give the most honest opinion.
Right now as it is it ain't ready by a long shot. That's the short version.
Now for the longer more detailed version:
The sneak mechanic should not be an automatic power slot to fill and just go along with this passive, This should simply be right along in the passive and be active in combat only. Also the stealth portion should either stack whilst in combat or add in extra benefits to your current primary/secondary super stats. Definitely add in some type of damage resistance. Preferably one that stacks but that's just my take on it.
Okay that's my small rant for NW to be added on to.
Okay as for some of the new gadget powers, I do like where it is going so far. Is there any chance that the bolas could be more similar to say ice cage and root enemies instead? And if you want the option to turn it into a stun of some sort then let that just be an advantage. Even better if it has an added aoe stun but I won't push my luck there. Also is there a chance we can have the gas pellets gun not be too similar to gas arrow? Maybe somewhere along the line closer to smoke grenade only it will have a random effect instead on enemies? That would feel alot more cape crusader like that's for sure.
Bugs... well lets see.. not gonna get tired of reporting the force cascade one since has basically killed one of my 40s =p.
Bug: Force Cascade energy form cancel keeps refreshing
What happens: After using Force Cascade, the Energy Form Cancel keeps refreshing with your energy builder (in my case force bolts). This happens as well on live. I am using Kinetic Manipulation. It seems this bug happens when you aquire any of the specialization buffs. A quick way to replicate this bug its to slot Kickback from Endurance Specialization... since it refreshes the buff with every blast of your Energy Builder, the Energy Form Cancel will keep refreshing indefinitely.
Bug: Characters at the login screen seem to have lost their lighting.
What happens: I am not sure if this is a feature or a bug, but the characters at the login screen don't have any lighting at all... this is really troublesome when creating new characters from that tailor. Its hard to tell apart leather from cloth... honestly the old lighting needs to come back
preferably it would be under the ma tree.

I totally disagree. Only do this if you want yet another useless/ignored offensive passive in the game. Let it boost ranged/melee equally but to a lesser degree overall. Otherwise... Why use it over, say, Shadow Form?
The issue is, why ever be melee then?
For you I'm going to go over to PTS and test this stuff.

Things I will be testing for:
how perception in this passive works vs shadow form.
How easy/often you can go in and (purposefully) out of steath
How do the bonuses affect gameplay (PvE and PvP)
Playing a stealth 1 hit Crit killer is a very popular MMO play style (i don't know why yet but every MMO has their diehards). If the bonus given out of stealth isn't an auto crit with major severity bonus i'll be surprised. (Assuming the other toon has the chance to mitigate).

For now some old bugs from last powers update Drannic:
Aura of Arcane Clarity is scaling with PRE
Arcane Sorcery
Take AoAC with superstats chosen. Add gear to supserstats that aren't PRE. Then add PRE Gear.
The passive's chargetime buff is only affected by PRE (and is not strong enough or good enough to make it compete with the other 4 aura passives)
Manipulator not added to Telepathy Powers Progression
Mentalist tree
Take mentalist energy builder, second power and Manipulator.
The Tier 2 powers do not become available. (Same for Concentration and Compassion. Please pick a framework and put the powers accodingly).
UI does not show Hold Strength (or Magnitude) nor proper hold resistance
Powers Bar/Character Sheet (Scroll over)
There are many new mechanics to boost holds and hold resistance. The UI has not been updated with these changes. (NOTE: I am not going to rant tonite about ALL that is wrong with holds, but by bringing the UI back at least players can be informed).
Many powers still do not proc Manipulator
No Location
Choose Manipulator.. Use Ego Storm, Freeze Dirtbag, Sonic Arrow.. i can't remember them all.
Notice that your toon does not gain a stack of manipulator. (Please change the stack name to Influence just as Focus is the stack name for forms.. I hate feeling evil)
Celestial Cleansing does not remove Buff
Celestial Framework
Choose Celestial Cleansing. Use against player who's just activated a buff.
Notice buff is not removed. (I am also noting that the +Breakfree amount on advantage has not been increased when holds were increased. I am not sure if active offenses were but they seem to break free just fine, however this advantage does not. Also this power should be able to be used while held so that the breakfree advantage has use to the caster)
