Don't mind if I do though to be absolutely honest I don't know how long I will stay with CO -- I'm really anticipating Star Wars The Old Republic and I have a feeling as soon as that comes out, my life may be forfeit hehe.
Here's a little history I worked out for NOA:
He grew up in a southern town where football was life. His step father happened to be the high school coach, a man Noa looked up to very much. Joining the high school football team, Noa discovered he was an extremely talented quarterback what he had not realized at the time was that his true talent, a mutant ability to control force currents, was behind a lot of his success.
Discovering in his second year of high school, he was afraid to let down his step father and thus kept it a secret. This however humbled him personally; while athletically he soared, catching the eyes of many scouts. Scholarships were flooding in and his future seemed cemented as an upcoming NFL great. That is until a confrontation with a rival after winning the state championship threatened his girlfriend. Noa lost control on his seemingly invincible and super strong opponent revealing his abilities to all.
Within a week, his girlfriend had left him, the scholarships were retracted and even his step father didnt know how to deal with everything.
He decided to disappear. Hitting the road on his motorcycle, Noa wandered aimlessly until hearing about Halcyon Academy
Just a lil something I'm putting together as a background. I suppose he's developed a much more serious attitude due to his 'shame' and dramatic fall from grace and fame, but really he's just looking for a second chance and a new life... purpose.
Wow, we've had such a huge turn-out for Halcyon Academy these past few days! That said, we feel that the ratio between mentors and students has balanced out well enough now that we'll once again be accepting applications from those players who wish to have a mentor at the school. Of course, we're still accepting those for potential students as well!
A very big thank you to the Champions Online community for helping this supergroup firmly establish its presence within the game before it goes live. To all of our current members, keep an eye out for an annoucement sometime soon; we're hoping to get a big "school photo" with as many of our characters as we can in either their non-mandatory school uniforms or their other costumes before the 1st!

The End of Beta is upon us, and Halcyon Academy intends to be there. All throughout Monday's event, we'll be in evidence, sporting our team colors and helping fight off the Destroid invasion - not to mention taking a bunch of screenshots of the sea of purple, white and gold that will result!
Make sure you friend @TheDart or @Zizi so you can tell what instance we're in and then come on out and join us as we take down giant robots together!

Halcyon Academy is shaping up to be a lot of fun. We've got some great characters and an even greater variety of players from the entire spectrum of both roleplay and MMO experience.
hey! i was looking through your forum here (and a little bit on the official SG forum too *shy grin*) and just had a question: rp wise, are you mostly in game rp, forum based rp, a mix of the two?

At the moment, most of the RP we've done has been in-game, but we do have space set aside on our board for forum-based RP. All it takes is for someone to start a thread and get the ball rolling. We also end up with a little bit of RP happening in our Steam chat, though that has all been, to date, mostly goofing around and not actual story-type-stuff.

I was just reading through this thread and some posts on your forums and my interest has been peaked! Coming to CO I didn't expect to be interested in RP. I've actually been playing on an RP UO shard for almost a year now, and the RP has been fun, but it's also been stressful at times. You seem to have a much more relaxed atmosphere in your SG, and it's kinda exciting! RP on UO has been the only RP I've ever experienced though, so roleplaying on a superhero MMO would be much different for me.
Anyways, just wanted to say that it looks like you've got a great thing goin here! Even if I choose not to join, it looks pretty awesome! Although I'm definitely interested in joining. I think it'd be kinda neat to play a student in a school for superheroes. I think my fella would end up being the shy, loner type, but who still felt very close to his classmates, just maybe... not so skilled at showing it. I guess we'll see!
So do you all intend to get the SG started up when the game goes live tomorrow for pre-order customers? Or on the 1st when it's released officially?

Our SG is founded on the ideas of happy times, laughter, jokes, and a bit of craziness rather than intense drama and seriousness. We'd be more than happy to have you apply with us if you think that you'll have fun in Halcyon Academy, and if not, we'll still be happy to see you in game and roleplay with you there!
Two of our officers will be in the head start, yes, setting things up I imagine ahead of times for the rest of us who will be a bit behind them. I imagine some of our members too will be a part of that, so we should have a good showing come the 1st.

What Malcolm_Die said! We'd love to have you - we definitely try to promote a fun and stress-free environment. Our cardinal rule is Be Excellent To Each Other, and we the officers don't have much tolerance for people who don't abide by that philosophy.
As for your picture, Sersi - did you have it set to show your main character? That probably means they did the beta character wipe.
I would like to join this SG but I'm a little confused as to how I do that. I found your website but can't figure out where I post an application. Also, I'm unclear as to whether I apply first or talk to somone in game first. My character is Dark Blood @western.
