I frankly feel like the dev's only listen to the semi-pro people who ask for more difficult content; fit for the ultra hardcore 24/7 players. Not everyone wants to be a pro at gaming. A lot of us just want to enjoy a relaxing moment. Neverwiter, with its links to the D&D game and its excellent graphics was that. Now...…
After a couple months break, I came back to this game. I play solo and only PvE. I am not a great player, but I've been playing my one and only toon, a CW, since august 2013. I know it inside out. And, yes, I dodge a lot. I had quite some fun going back up to lvl 70 in my old High Vizir's suit, with my 30k HP. I died, and…
The very first mission you are given by Sgt Knox gives you a green weapon that is on par with an orange gear artifact maxed out. So, well... I guess I learned the lesson : never spend any money again on this game. If I want something and I can't afford it, I'll just wait for a few months and I'll get it dirt cheap because,…
Just logged in preview at lunchbreak. Okay... so the very first green Main Hand Weapon **** we get for the very first mission we are given by Knox is already on par (stat wise) with the Legendary Artifact I have spent so much to raise to lvl 60 ? Really ? Well, there's not a freezing chance in Hell I will EVER spend a…
Alas, it is even much more expensive than that ! Upgrading from white to green is 250 000 AD if I remember well Upgrading from green to blue is 500 000 AD Upgrading from blue to purple is 750 000 AD. So that's 1.5 M to go from white to purple. If they follow that logic, the cost to upgrade from Purple to... whatever it…
Lol. I have 16 enchantments and Runestones on my character and companion. It cost me huge amount of time and money to get them. Even if the cost stays the same as before, I won't spend again the same amount. Plus I have a bad feeling that the cost will be exponential (needing another 16 rk 10 enchants to get to lvl 11). As…
As for the books, cars, computers, I agree everything is lasting for a time and needs to be replaced / repaired / upgraded. To put things in mathematical terms, draw a graph of the intenstity of pleasure you get by the time you get this pleasure. This gives you a surface under the curve. This surface is the amount of…
That's very true, and here is why people are posting : Developpers have shown in the past that they read the forums. Sometimes, they do take what is said here into consideration. So it's better to tell them NOW how we feel about some options they may have. Because, when they have made the decisions and the official…
Lol. ^^ The problem, as far as I'm concerned, is not about "the end of the game". It's about "do I keep putting money in this game if this money just vanishes without compensation for me ?". When you put money into something, you are looking for two posisble things : - immediate pleasure (skiing down a slope, having a…
It's always nice to see new content added, even if I'm not interested in (I'm not in a guild so Guild housing is not for me, and there's no way I'm going to raise up another character through all the time gates, I don't have time for this kind of effort). I do hope the quests that will be added are of the stroyline kind…
I've been playing NW for 18 months and invested lots of time/money (which are basically the same thing) and efforts, to get my character to where it is now. I only play PvE. - I don't mind a new class being added : I won't create a new character to redo all the chores I've already done (hello, Sharandar...) - I don't mind…
I stumbled once upon a quest to do the dungeon in the Rothe valley and soloed it with much pleasure. Ever since, I have tried to find a way to solo other dungeons and could not find how I could do that. I never found the door to the dungeon in the whispering caverns for instance, nor for any of the 60's dungeons. I tried…
Since I'm sometimes running around in IWD, with no guild to belong to and a 20 something GS, I felt targeted by this remark, so I'll answer it before answering this thread's topic. So yes, I'm a casual gamer. But my power loadout is not questionable at all : I bought it. I make a comfortable living and I spend liberally on…
As for me, I loved every single bit of it. Non stop killing here and there, meeting and teaming with random people that you get acquainted to after a few fights... I really love it. Well, of course, it can get repetitive. Everything does. But I totally can see myself playing it for the full duration of it, which is more…
From another thread : "current state blocks me from farming dragons cause if i do (over 2300 coins) i won't be able to collect daily quests. " Then, by all means, leave it like that ! Then, perhaps, we can have a dragon zone where you don't get wall spammed by timers beggers, and where you are not 25 people on the zone,…
In Runes of Magic, you had a house, and could add some furniture that'd give you in-game bonuses, coffers with WAY more space thant anywhere else, and housemaids (or buttlers) that you could dress up the way you wanted and place anywhere in the house and they'd do some stuff for you (no, not that kind of things, you fool,…
Well, statistics are always fair. Il you have a 1/1000 drop rate and then 10 000 people join in, you'll have 100 happy people and 9 900 unhappy ones. But it's fair. And frustrating. I've been playing IWD since it came out and didn't get any main hand or gloves. Heck, I didn't event get a yeti pet. Using the armor pieces I…
I have a couple questions for you, well informed folks, about the Race change token offered in this pack. - will it work to transform any race into any other one, or just to transform other races into dragonborn ? - some say that this token will be available on the Zen Market. Has this information been reliably confirmed…
Don't worry : you're not the only one not getting anything. I've been doing a couple major encounters every day since the start of Icewind Dale and got nothing so far (well, a couple purple profession items). So I just gave up on the whole thing. No need to spend money to buy Black Ice stuff if you can't get the whole set.…
I really like the changes to the companions they did with Mod2. I'm not talking numbers. I'm a PVE player whose CW has much too high a GS to be called reasonable. I don't care about fine tuning my companions to get that + 0.0005% of DPS that will improve the damage I make. I just like the fact that my toon has a companion,…
I second that. Sometimes, just having a look outside the auction house makes you think the Clone Wars have started, with all the very same priestess in the same outfit and same dye and same hair, down to the same scar on the eye, replicated dozens of time. Scary. And i'd love to make them a bit "custom", even if just for…
I can see a problem with Companion AI improving. It seems to me they use the same AI as the mobs. So if the developpers would improve on the companions' AI so that they'd avoid the red zones, then the mobs would also jump out of character spells' areas of effect. And I'm not too keen on that possibility, actually.
