I've had the same idea regarding the Skulker's set. When we just say all this, it really does seem to come out on top; however, I'd like to see someone else (because I am lazy and don't know what maths is) crunch the numbers. It's really nice to have longer stealth, thus the CA bonus, cunning stalker, brutal backstab, etc.…
Yes, everyone hates TRs in PvP. Point taken. It's ridiculous for the class whose sole niche is single target DPS in PvE to be the best at single target DPS in PvP. Go figure. The serious issue, here, is that the hatred for rogues in PvP ends up with massive nerfs that drastically affect PvE. This has been discussed time…
No, Master Assassin's armor is T2, but not Master Duelist's. The T2 sets are: Sinister Shade's, Master Assassin's, Swashbuckling Captain's, and Battlefield Skulker's. The easiest way to check is the two piece set bonus. If it's +400 to a stat, it's T1. If it's +450, it's T2.
Thanks for the insight. Part of my problem in debating over gear is that I don't personally have a baseline for comparison (or the AD to fully build up 2 sets with enchantments, etc.). I'm not much of a number cruncher (because I'm lazy), but it should be possible to do that relatively easily.
I've been wondering the same. if the 4 piece bonus from the swashbuckling set is nearly always on, I can see its benefit. However, if it's not, the t2 PvP set seems like a pretty straightforward winner, even in pve. Being executioner specced and receiving the "from stealth" benefits for at least half the time (if you slot…
When slotting defense enchantments, I'd go for the hit points (radiant). If you consider the amount of damage mitigated by defense vs. a flat hit point increase, it seems to me that +ho wins out most of the time. Arguments can be made for either one, but I currently prefer the feel of a larger hit point pool. I have,…
I tend to keep shadow strike on my bar for those times when I've got unwanted aggro and no stealth bar. When we have awesome CWs who can pop singularity all the time, dazing strike and wicked reminder do incredible aoe damage. Blitz rarely finds itself on my bar any more, as it can only hit five targets. The other two,…
So, it looks like the majority of the TR nerfs are to smack the perma-stealth build down. I get that--it's an annoying build, especially when the culprit stacks tenes, etc. However, PWE is going about this in an absolutely ludicrous fashion. Maybe only CoS should diminish the stealth bar, if that is their goal. Something…
Well, it was similar in other iterations of D&D...sort of. The half-orc had the most damage potential, but would have to suffer with lower reflex/initiative/detection/etc. rolls. In this game, though, that's all more standardized. So you kind of get around the negatives (other than the looks).
Any chance they'll offer us a free respec? I dunno how Cryptic handles that kind of thing. Since it's F2P, I'm doubting it ... but that sure would be nice.
