So the problem is because it is called Sigil of the GWF and not another class?
I did not say that the problem is the name. We have 6 class and 5 artifacts are similar, like i said:

other class artifact gives you 2 statistics that increase GS and one that does not increase it
GWF's artifact is different and better.
I think the point is why I think it is better than the other.
Well 5 class artifact give you "special statistics" like AoE Resist, Stamina/Guard Gain, Combat Advantage Bonus etc but all this "special statiscics" has cruel Diminishing Returns:
    YlOqud8.png

If you have one artifact with Combat Advantage Bonus another with the same bonus are useless.
Sigil of the GWF is the only class artifact which may be useful in any combination.

If I have rank 100 Lantern of Revelation i have +5% Combat Advantage Damage, with rank 100 Sigil of the Trickster it will be only +7.7-8% Combat Advantage Damage.
If I have rank 100 Forgehammer of Gond i have +5% Resist for the control effects, with rank 100 Sigil of the Controller it will be +7.7-8% Resist for the control effects.

In both combinations class artifact may be useless but Sigil of the Great Weapon will be useful.

In conclusion - GWF class artifact does not have "special statiscics" with cruel Diminishing Returns. Always gives 1.600 HP regardless of any other artifacts.

Ok, thanks for sharing that information about the DR in the "special stats" which I didn't expect.

We can compare the GWF artifact with the Waters of Elah'zad, each stat adding GS. So if the gwf artifact is reworked, means that the waters should be changed too, isn't it? Even if we are strictly discusing only about class artifacts, thing is how useful is it for each build? And we have to take into consideration 3 artifacts not just 1, which artifact would you give up for it? You gain hp but you might loss 5% incoming heals, 5% CA dmg. More GS isn't important, doesn't matter at all.

I'm using seldarine, lantern and waters right now, which one should I remove if I want to equip the gwf artifact? seldarine and waters are both defensive, I will lose defense in both cases or life steal/recovery/regen and I want to keep lantern because is very good for dps, perhaps my character is perfect right now and I don't need to change anything and I don't even have to worry about the 1600 hp which I don't need for pve at least. If you want something, you have to give up something too.

Offtopic: The main problem is the Gear Score. Everything should give GS including perfect enchants which are considered rank 10 enchants (either 300 or 330 GS) Tenebrous, Utility slots, "special stats" in every artifact,, etc.

This above relates to why I mentioned the HR Artifact, below are the two in question:

    GWF: Epic: 183 ArPen, 300 Pow, 664 HP | Legendary: 300 ArPen, 300 Pow, 1600 HP.
    Purple effect - AoE 3988dmg, 6-14% dmg reduction / dmg buff (10% @ 3 targets, likely 5 max)

    HR: Epic: 183 def, 300 movement, 166 Stam/Guard gain | Legendary: 300 def, 300 movement, 400 Stam/Guard Gain.
Purple effect - 8700dmg, 12 ticks of 725dmg each 0.5s to target, AoE at self 2175dmg and casting interrupt.

    Revised HR: Epic: 183 Recovery, 300 Power, 166 Stam/Guard | Legendary: 300 Recovery, 300 Power, 400 Stam /Guard Gain.

    ArPen is easily maxxed........

My HR is ready, just have to do the DR daily until module launch.

Whether the statistics of an artifact give higher GS or not really has no bearing on how good the artifact actually is. GS isn't actually a very accurate measurement for much of anything in terms of game effectiveness, just a vague gauge. Most of the non-GS stats are very, very good to have.

Indeed, GS is only good for LFG if you start posting GS in places were ppl are experienced they tend to think your a newbie thats going to take carrying. ohh it gives hps... lol thats nice for pvp to a extent but to take a rtifact to epic for a few 100 hps compared to purple, must have more money then sence or have all r10s and other artifacts to epic and nothing else to spend it on, for pve, just means it takes longer for LS or incoming heals to heal u adds nothing to efectivness even bosses all hit for under max hps base if u have 30% mitigation and if u have ok LS and use a pot or have incoming heals youll be full again before next hit

I'm curious about one thing, Sigil of the Devoted + CW:

Use: Your Devoted Cleric spirit fills you with divine power, granting 100% of you total Action Points over 15 seconds. In addition, while this buff is active you Heal yourself for 869 whenever you use an Encounter power.

Steal time can count as much as 15 encounters when casted (that's why the WHR companion is so good for the cw) if we apply this in combination with the Sigil of the Devoted Cleric, a CW will just not only gain a crazy amount of AP in a very short time (more singu, more control, less harm for the party, being tanks even more useless) he will also heal himself a lot 15x869= 13035 per cast counting at least 2 times while the buff is still up, a group of CWs won't have any problem facing large groups of enemies.

The artifact is ok but the thing is that the CW isn't going to be fixed/nerfed w/e soon so...

Sorry if it was asked before, but right now class artifacts are only available for all classes at test server and will it be also available for all characters after release of the third module?

i don't know if few of you speak french but it might help :
    http://community.arcgames.com/fr/news/neverwinter/detail/5002783

it is taken from the neverwinter news in french, and it says about class artifacts (not pvp artifacts) from what i have understand :

-you have to have 2 characters capable of going into caer gonig
-then speak to jarlaxle and accept the "chamber of the nine" quest
-complete it and you receive the artifact of the class with which you just did the quest for all characters
-claim it at vendor in PE
-nevertheless, you can only equip class artifacts if you are from the class of the artifact
-moreover, those artifacts seem to be BoP

I don't know if I would label the GWF class artifact OP, but I certainly plan with it on all characters besides my PVE HR (already over 24% ArPen). It's really nice because nowadays you slot Radiants almost everywhere for Pow/HP and the Artifact gives Pow/HP. ArPen is just the icing on the cake, I would probably still favor it with any other third stat.

So going by the new news post once you have unlocked a class artifact you can pick it up on whatever character you want from the same account no matter what level or class Although to equip it in the primary slot and use the artifacts ability it has to be the same class? .

Could a developer please explain the news post that was posted today ,it reads like the requirements have been altered and if that is the case then the GWF artifact is quite superior to the others by quite a long way.

I use a legendary one on my CW on preview and I haven't witnessed such a major heal from the Sigil of the Devoted. But it's also hard to separate it from Life Steal because any encounter replenishs HP by 10k+ anyway. I might get ACT involved later today.

The only requirements are two characters that can enter the new zone right? I've got two, but am unable to get the quest. The first has done the beginning quests and several days of dailies for the new content and the second has just done beginning quests.

    BUG

I have two characters in IWD at the moment, but Jarlaxle is telling both of them they don't meet the requirements to get the artifact quest.

Edit: Oops, sorry about the text color.

Suggestion: Text inconsistency and context change

GF artifact is the only that use Guardian Fighter's spirt/ The others all miss their possessive 's. Either can probably work but the inconsistency doesn't.

That said I'm not entirely convinced the description of the artifacts are satisfying. I don't know anything lorewise about spirits in NW, but I'd much prefer my spirit intact and not be out and about doing anything every 3 minutes via an ancient artifact.

Given the artifacts are retrived from the tomb of the nine maybe just replace with 'The Ancient Control Wizard spirit pushes away surrounding enemies...' rather than the awkward and eerie 'Your Control Wizard spirit pushes away surrounding enemies.

Yes, as I have potsted in the Announcement thread http://nw-forum.perfectworld.com/showthread.php?660491-Preview-New-Artifact-Quest, they are contradicting themselves:
    1. "once you have completed the quest the artifacts will be available to each character on your account via the Rewards Claims agent."
    2. "Each Artifact will feature unique abilities for every class and can only be equipped by that class."

So I tested yesterday and currently nothing seems to have changed.
My CW has both sigil of the devoted and sigil of the great weapon on preview.
The active ability also works with no issues.

I am hoping to get clarification in either of the threads.
    The announcement seems vague/misphrased/confused.

Class artifacts can be equipped by any character no matter what class they are. The preview article is in error.

I have notified the proper authorities.

Am I correct in assuming that this new artifact quest only rewards a single artifact, and that I can't just load of all my character w/ 3 artifact right from the get-go?

Completing the quest rewards the character who completed it with their class specific artifact and unlocks that artifact so your other characters can claim it.

Ah. So, if I complete the quest on at least one character of each class, then all my characters could potentially claim 6 artifacts?

I've unlocked the DC/CW artifacts on preview a few updates ago but since then cannot claim the artifacts on my lv 60 GWF or HR. Not sure if it's an issue of updates resetting artifacts unlock or something got broken. Can someone confirm?

I had the same problem and actually had to copy another character to make it work. The quest was introduced further down the road and I think characters copied before that point (sometimes) don't count.

This is trivial but I am eagerly looking forward to getting a hammer of gond but am finding inconsistencies with where to acquire it. In the collections page for it, it says to find it in profession packs(the one from the zen market). Yet on the neverwinter wiki it says in a profession pack during a limited time promotion.

This seems to me that the information on the collections page is very misleading. And say someone buys a few those expecting to maybe get one they most likely will not since the collection page is where they will look first and not bother to check the wiki.

Can this be clarified so the wiki and collection page on how to acquire the hammer of gond is matching?

This was a horrible game design. The only class I enjoy playing is my gwf because of the skill shots and high skill curve. High risk high reward( I don't use intimidation cheese ).

Currently over 17k gearscore. People are giving me a hard time because I don't own the gwf artifact. That's because I'm forced to level something to 60? BESIDES A Gwf!!?? FOR MY GWF ARTIFACT!? Stupid feature, probably implemented to sell more campaign completions and experience boosts/character slots. Shameless cryptic.

Ehm, class artifacts were implemented before they started selling completions and XP boosters. It's not that hard to level a character to 60, easier with the double XP events they sometimes hold, and it only takes about 2 weeks of Dread Ring to get that second character valid for IWD even if you completely abandoned it afterwards.

Also, it could be a second GWF. Doesn't have to be a different class.
