I was really wanting to check you guys out. Went to your website to do the whole sign up application thing, and was like ****. Thought it was an interview for a job. Left right away.

That's fine. It's what keeps the community as strong as it is. If you aren't interested enough in the community to fill out a few questions so we can get to know the PERSON, not just the toon, then you're not the type of person we're interested in.

Unrepentant is a community of gamers that puts people first. We're more interested in playing with good PEOPLE, not a 16.8k GS Guardian Fighter.

I wish you the best of luck finding a home out there, though.

We'd love to have you check us out. The game is a lot of fun, and the dungeons are very challenging. However, it's a really great feeling when you pull together a group of players and defeat the content legitimately.

And it's those experiences that make the game fun and keep me playing.

    Thanks for the reply.

I joined your channel and was invited as a recruit for a couple of weeks. However as I am very busy right now i talked to an officer and asked if I could instead try-out when I am less busy. I'll continue to lurk on your channel till then.

Cool. When you get more time, definitely put in that application. Until then, please feel free to lurk in the channel.

The nice thing about being an Unrepentant Member is you're a member of the community for life. We have plenty of people who get some free time, play a lot then have life stuff come up and disappear for a while. We never kick anyone for inactivity from the community. Every now and then we'll prune guilds to keep rosters fresh and current, but even then you're always welcome to jump back into any guild in any game with play, no questions asked :)

As long as your gearscore is high enough to queue for the content YOU want to do, WE could care less what it is.

I see a lot of guilds recruiting with the message "Must have X Gearscore". That's fine. But if you want to join a community that's going to help you get X Gearscore, we're here to help.

Just to update everyone, we've been farming Valindra pretty regularly. Two lucky Unrepentant members (myself included) ended up with a Shard of Valindra's Crown last week, which was pretty impressive.

We're also happy to to do the fight with any combination of classes. We've cleared it with every single class, from CW's to GF's. We've found it really doesn't make a big difference what classes you bring, as long as people are coordinated and can pop caskets. The rest of the fight is pretty easy.

So if you're tired of those guilds that advertise by listing the Gear Score or classes they're looking for, then look here. We don't care what class you are, just that you bring a certain classiness to the guild :)

One of our members put together a nice little montage of our Castle Never run this weekend.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ABcgONH198Y#t=12

We manged to kill the Dracolich twice, completely legit. No exploits.

If you feel like you're missing out on your chance to see more of the game because you can't find a group, or you're tired of elitists who won't take you into a dungeon unless you way over gear it, then we might be what you're looking for.

I first saw the recruitment thread back in early January, and thought "Pantless drunken gaming? Sign me up!" Then I went to the website and had a look-see and saw the whole recruitment application thing and had to seriously reconsider pursuing the matter.

You see, here's the deal. I get that any guild that's worth joining is going to have some vetting process. I've been an officer or guild leader in a few successful guilds over the years, and somewhere along the line we figured that only 10% of applicants are going to make it into the guild and be core members. The rest you have to hope that they either wash out early on before they do any damage via guild drama, or that they're at least supportive if not core members. Different guilds handle this vetting process different ways.

Maybe you prefer running dungeons as a trial member, and seeing if you can handle yourself well enough to be an asset to the team? If that's your only focus, I can appreciate not wanting to fill out an application. Personally, I'd just rather know that the people I'm choosing to spend my time and energy with working towards mutual goals aren't going to be douchbags, or fall apart and start throwing a tantrum if something doesn't go their way. Skills in a dungeon are a plus. They really emphasized the whole application process on the website... but I figured what the heck.. trying out a questionable guild would take up more of my time than filling out an application.

I decided to go ahead and lurk in the Uey channel for a few days before filling out an application. There are a lot of different personality types, and different interests in the group, but all in all everyone seemed okay. I took my time and filled out the app (took me about an hour.. but I am wordy at times eh?) and let folks in the Uey channel know that I'd applied.

All in all I would say that it's been a positive experience. I am a new member of Unrepentant, and have been on several runs with these guys. There are several core members of the guild who know their stuff and can handle any of the end game content (they even took me to VT for my first run where we one shot it, and I'm a total scrub).

If you're looking for some mature folks to run dungeons with, consider these guys and gals. The plus side is, they play many different games and chances are if you want to hop to another at any time.. you will already have a guild that you can join from the get go.

    Thanks for the feedback, Gwynn.

We really want to make the Unrepentant a community filled with people you WANT to play games with, not people you HAVE to play games with.

We don't care about gear score, l33t skills or how fast you can kill the Dracolich. We're just looking for good people.

So if you're new to Neverwinter, but feeling a bit lost, look us up.

If you've leveled to 60, but hate always trying to PUG content, look us up.

If you're frustrated because you leveled X class, and "no one" wants to group with you, look us up.

If you're just looking for cool people to hang out with, and a community that extends past Neverwinter, look us up.

If you're looking to take indecent liberties with unicorns, I legally can't tell you to look us up...but you can look us up. ;)

Well I have been playing NW for a few weeks now and I am looking for a FUN guild to be a part of. Interestingly enough I can say with certainty that Drunk+Pantless=Fun in my book. That said I am a 35 year old husband and father of 4. I am also a fairly sizable dork, at least in my wife's eyes! Well probably many other eyes as well. I have been away from MMO's now for a few years and since beginning NW I am definitely missing that group experience. I was an avid GW player for many years with a great group back then and it seems by reading this thread and snooping about yall's site, this might be a good home for me. It makes it even more inviting that it is a wider community as opposed to just a NW guild bc I have every intention of playing Elder Scrolls next month!

So... once maintenance is done today I will check out the Uey chat and hopefully meet some of y'all.

Glad to see you jump in.

We have a good mix of people, but most of us are older...mid 30's is probably the average. Lots of us have kids, husband/wife agro, etc. We just try to keep an easygoing, easy to play atmosphere for folks who just want to relax after work and murder some orcs.

And yes, we span multiple games and we'll have an ESO Branch at launch. The cool thing about the U is once you're a member, you're a member for life and welcome to join any of the guilds in any of the games we play.

    Thanks for checking us out.

An a PSA here. Please make sure you take sometime on the application. Again, we're pretty serious about it. It's how we make sure the community stays packed with awesome people. Think of it as a conversation starter. If you were at a bar or a party, and saw a group of people having a great time and you wanted to introduce yourself, how would you do it?

We really are focused on getting good people more than good players, and we're definitely not one of those guilds that invites everyone and anyone for the sake of having a higher member-score. It's just not how we roll.

    Alrighty then!

I have been playing neverwinter for just a couple weeks and pretty quickly realized I was missing quite bait by running solo and hanging with PUGs. I had a great guild experience some years back in GW's and knew what I was looking for. So I came across this very thread and decided to check em out. I stalked the guild chat, checked out the website and forums and the more I did the more I liked. I applied, had a great time meeting folks on the forum and IG. So being the mostly awesome guy I am  I was quickly accepted. Let me say this is by far the best decision I have made since downloading neverwinter. Everyone is helpful and very cool (well helpful anyway!) There is no pressure to produce or quotas to meet or any of that junk. Just bunch of folks enjoying the game with one another.

I can't recommend us enough.... plus no pants! Just saying!

Hey, I have been playing neverwinter for the last odd week or two and only recently gotten to 60 and due to the fact that I have bad experiences with playing content with PuGs in other MMOs I don't necessarily want to continue with that in Neverwinter, hence the reason for looking for a chilled out guild to make friends and have a good ol time. I stumbled across this thread and it has me interested, so I am looking to join your ranks if I meet your standard of drunken shenanigans and coolness...
I might try and contact one of you in game when the server is back up or you can contact me if it is easier.
    Milkyjoe@mhwadester5.
I will now proceed to go to your site and fill out an application as I cant really play the game at the moment....

Thanks for taking a look at us, Milky. We're definitely more focused on making friends and hanging out with cool people. I know PUGs can be a bit challenging, especially if you get in that group that HAS to exploit every little bug.

We're just here to have a good time, but we can also kick a bit of *** when we need to. It's amazing how with a little practice to can get good enough to get through every encounter in the game ;)

    Looking forward to meeting you.

Hey, Lanctus here with a bit about me. Male in my 30s, married, no kids, and a coon hound. I've been playing MMOs for years, starting with 9Dragons and City of Villains. Never got into the WoW scene, and have been playing Neverwinter for a little over a week now. Have a couple toons on STO, and played SWTOR for a long time until a glitch erased a lot of hard-earned gear I had. It turned me off to that MMO.

I think the most fun I had was in City of Villains, because of the fresh take on the dynamics of who and what you could be. Graphics were good at the time, and options for customization were virtually endless. I really miss that game. I have loved the Forgotten Realms for a VERY long time, being introduced to it as as many were through R.A. Salvatore. Ed Greenwood is another favorite FR author of mine.

Personally I have a love for Steampunk, own 3 authentic top hats, a wooden pipe, monocle, and a wind up, gear-laden pocket watch from Ireland. My wedding was actually top hat themed, and we danced our asses off. I think being "normal" is underachieving. Well, that's my little diddy in five minutes or less.

Okay, so I wanted to post about my experience here as I am a new member. Saw this thread a few weeks back and put in my application. They aren't kidding - they want you to be detailed. They ask you questions about your experiences outside of games (it's all handled in good humour) and they will expect you to actually have conversations with them on their forum and in-game before they make a decision. Short answers and yes/no in the boxes are a quick way to interest no one in the real world, and the same holds true here - they will absolutely call you out on lack of information. This may turn some people off, and that is understandable. I think what is important here is that they are screening YOU not your characters.

It will take days, possibly longer, for them to get a feel for you (and you for them). My first knee-jerk reaction was "the hell with this, I'm not interviewing for a job - why go through all this?" except that now that I had started, actually talking with these people was interesting and fun. The dungeons they invited me on went smoothly, and the mumble conversations were good times.

I've been a member a couple of weeks now and I'm very happy with them so far. Considering pugging, the sewer that is LFG, and the abyssmal groupfinding options in this game had got me to a point where I was considering quitting the game, finding a guild that is relaxed enough to feel friendly, talented enough to make the bosses into loot pinatas, and interesting enough to make me actually log into their boards when I'm not playing has been a great experience for me. For me it was worth the invovled interview process.

I set out on my mission to join the U after seeing this thread a couple of weeks ago, I was brand new to Neverwinter and wanted to find a guild of awesome folks to enjoy the game with and socialise. I stumbled upon this thread after a fortuitous google search and by page 3 I was hooked! They seemed funny, crazy and all about the people so I checked out their site and had a look at the application process. The fact that the application process was quite involved, and not just a "oh hi *spam invite*" type thing made me want to join even more lol! I got to join the guild, join their mumble and chat channel ingame and was encouraged to go about getting involved and uhm.. "try before you buy" lol... Happy days, my app was approved and I have now settled comfortably into the ample bosom of Unrepentant <3

They've been so patient with me and my mega **** questions, really friendly and welcoming, especially over mumble. And the day I turned 60 for the first time, within an hour they had bundled me into a DD Spider Queen and holding my hand with their epic sexy gear chars of sexyness to help me get some lewts and decent gear so that I could start getting more involved in the end game pve :)

(I'm the noobish redhead half orc :P)

I've already met some awesome people, and can't wait to get to know eeeeeeeeeven moar of them :3

Thanks for posting! We're all about playing together, and we're here for the people, not the toon. We don't care what class you play, or how you play it, as long as you like to have a good time.

It makes me sad reading the forums and hearing players lamenting about how "next patch, GWF is not viable" or "CW's are the only class that gets party invites", etc, etc. I hate seeing the Reddit posts that start "I'm a TR, should I reroll?" If you're tired of this attitude and want to run with people who can clear content (and have a laugh doing it), regardless of what class you play, give us a look.

It's all about the people behind the toons here in the U.

After perusing the rest of the recruitment forums, I thought it would be a good idea to update OUR recruiting standards.

As of right now, we're only recruiting character race/class combinations that have at least one arm.

We expect you to have a minimum Gearscore of 0 before applying. Also, we're currently not accepting anyone below level 1. If your character is less than level 1, please level up a bit before applying.

Gear standards do apply as well. We humbling request that you have slots on your character sheet into which gear can be placed. If you find yourself without any gear slots, please create a new character that has slots for gear. The quality of the gear placed in your slot is at your own discretion. Also: Giggitty.

We have a very strict standard that characters applying must have a bare minimum of at least zero artifacts. If you have more than zero artifacts, that's cool, but please note that characters with less than zero artifacts will be asked to earn at least zero artifacts before applying. The same standard holds for gear enchantments as well. Unfortunately, we can not offer any waivers to characters with less than zero enchantments on your gear. If you find yourself slotted with less than zero enchantments, please contact an officer so we can figure out how the heck that happened.

Thanks for your understanding in this matter.
