anyone who would like to see Dragonborn race at game lunch or soon after post here,so cryptic and pwe know we want
dragonborn race ,idk why they put so many human, elf like races and they dint put dragonborn
I think it was "Andy Velasquez" that said during an interview with "Andrethegiant & Deathsickle" that dragon born was his fav race, and bard/ranger were his fav classes...so that being said, i think youll see it...just not at launch!

I don't think we'll see that at launch but would be sweet.

yeah but when? i wish they put dragonborn in basic races and not so much human-elf like races and now when come will be premium race or lockbox race ,why we need 3 kind of elf races?they all look the same to me
Dragonborn would definitely be cool. I wonder, though, if the reason they're not in is because Wizards of the Coast is sort of backing away from that race in the direction they're taking D&D.

If they don't have dragonborn females with dragonboobs (which are canon), they better don't bother with Dragonborn.
/inb4 fake scientist about why reptiles cannot have HAMSTER in a fantasy game with fire breathing dragons and demons and stuff
Now more seriously, I'm quite happy with the addition of the 4E Dragonborn to the races roster. Not as exotic as a Thri-kreen but more than "Oh, look! Another human with pointy ears!" or similars.
And while not a fan of Genasi, they are part of FR (FR Player's handbook, along the Drow) so they should be added to the game too.:)
Personally, I would prefer to see a race of playable frog people.
But, dragonkin could be cool. I guess.
Ahhh Bullywugs! Nasty dudes for sure, but not a Playable race as far as I know.
Dragonborn don't excite me much, but to be honest I don't know much about them. They just seem like an overpowered FotM, like Goliaths. That being said, if they are a part of NW lore, then yes, they belong in the game.

So battletoads? I'm totally fine with that I guess.

idk why they put so many human, elf like races and they dint put dragonborn
Because those are classic/iconic races that have been the staple of the fantasy genre since its very inception, while dragonborn didn't show up till D&D 4e and were shoehorned in there just to appease people that wanted to play dragons. /trollface
PS: Though, if by "so many...elf like races" you mean drow... those should have been in the cash shop along with the rest of the non-standard races where they belong. And Menzoberranzan Renegade was just added to cash in on drow popularity because regular drow had already been implied to be in for free by launch
ah im happy they at least replace drow with some less human/elf like race

They'll probably be in sooner rather then later. Probably when the Warlock, and Ranger hit. But who knows.

I want Dragonborn and Eladrin, in fact the whole players handbook would be nice as all the free options, then all the material added outside that can be purchasable. We will probably see Genasai at the same time we see Swordmage, as both of these appear in the Faerune Players Guide in 4e. At least we better see these, being faerune and all.
Also, can someone tell me why so many people think Half-Orc is going to in launch, or sometime soon after?
(On a side note there is info in the client files about Dragonborn.)

Because of this statement in the Extended FAQ:
"The current options are Human, Elf, Half-Elf, Tiefling, Drow, Dwarf, Halfling, and Half-Orc. For full descriptions and pictures, check out our Races page here."

In any other setting, I would accept this reasoning. See DnD was once a fairly well grounded game, even with the inclusion of magic the laws of physics were still mostly a thing.
In this way, it's comparable to the first mass effect game. Sure there's space magic and wierd aliens, but it's still a "realistic" world where people won't be jumping ten feet into the air. You see despite the fantasy elements, both games have a consistent logic to their worlds that make them believable. (Though in ME's case, later installments shatter this entirely because hack writers are also a thing BUT that's another story)
Now I don't actually care about Dragonborn, but the argument you were making only really applies to something silly or campy like Warhammer or WoW.
Edit: Because I have time, i'm going to expand upon this.
When a world or setting is built, it comes with specific rules or limitations, more well developed settings often have more clearly defined rules. Now Dragonborn have HAMSTER, fine, but does the game or setting or whatever kind of book ever explain why? If not, then it's in direct contradiction with the pre-established rules of the game (no other reptile to my knowledge has HAMSTER) This might seem like a little thing that you don't really care about, and that's fine. But don't try and trivialize it with that age old argument of "Lol it's a fantasy game just go with it."
You see, some people do care that the setting they are in remains as consistent with itself as possible. If too many little things are wrong or don't add up, it can degrade or completely ruin their suspension of disbelief.

Dragonborn children nurse for six months after being born apparently.

Can you explain why they nurse at all? Is there even an answer for that? Why do they have HAMSTER in the context of the game other than simply appealing to NEEEEERDS?

I think it has to do with the fact that in 3.5 they were people who were given dragon like traits. This they would still keep certain features such as HAMSTER. I think though the lore changed in 4.0 they kept a similar concept with visual stuff. I could be wrong though.
I think the issue of dragonborn has been discussed before when I myself raised the fact over suspicious nature of the species - reptilia or mammals? Eventually it was decided by almost all (after a heated debate on suckling, temprature of blood, scales and their nature of teaching the young ones instead of eating them) that they are neither. They are just fantasy species so they can be treated as both (as already we have cross-species species like half-elf which should not be possible according to natural laws of our world unless it is mule).
Hence the undispued fact remained that they are both mammals and reptiles and at the same time none.
EDIT:- And the hatching habits were discussed too. Missed the details. Details...details....

On a side note while I would like dragonborn in I would like them to take the time to get the look for them to be really really good.

So sure, dragonborn would be cool to have added. Just as various Genasi would be as well, and Devas, Shifters, Gnomes, etc.
