Whahaha well ^_^ well deserved then dude, like for everyone it is an easy thing to complete... like stupidly easy *rofl* you had some solid tips here explaining multiple ways of going about it. But YOU made this choice better to remember that.

True that tho then it is not account unlocked like it is when one completes this event and after this last phoenix event... i can safely say that unlocking the ship by phoenix pack will cost a awful lot more then its worth
Race is easy, its like an rng chance you will get a npc racer. When you don't have an npc racer just jog through the race track and its that simple. I think they did it this way so players can get the ship. Most of the time I don't even get an npc racer when I do I typically fail then do it again without the npc racer, then you can just jog it all the way around without risk.

Or just use a jem'hadar, because with ketracel he can walk faster than the NPC runs.
Never say never. I have an old friend in the game that was quite convinced that she would never get the race right. She is an old school KDF fleet leader that, like yourself, is intelligent, plays the rest of the game quite well and happily bonks, bashes, or blows up borg and other npc's with great flourish but for whatever reason just wasn't convinced she could succeed at the race.
Fast forward quite a few years and she does just fine. She's also quite stubborn For what it's worth I had a bit of a rough go at it for quite a while as well. I'd keep that project slotted. It's usually just the first season or so that get's ya and then it clicks.
Um i have been at this for going on 4 yrs, and i cant get it right despite all the tricks I have tried, always get an opponent, always fly off the track or end up out of bounds. gave up last year, have no intention of trying again. I do not have what it takes to get the timing right to accomplish the race. I have done the anniversary and the risa and many other things in the game and manage just fine, only this race I CANT do.
People need to calm down in here. Not everyone's skill or abilities are the same. Some may very well have difficulty with this particular activity. Ridiculing and name calling are completely uncalled for.

Getting 1k vouchers would require a ton of Lobi......I cashed in Lobi to get the last 40 vouchers and 42 vouchers cost me 45 Lobi.
As far as the race, it's all about knowing when to turn and slide to make the corners....at least for me on XBox.
Just a note to anyone that hasn't started yet and doesn't have time to finish..
Even if you can't complete it.. start the project. Run the race, slot the project, contribute what you can and leave it. You will be able to complete the project next year. Vouchers work backward, but not forward (so there is no point saving them for next year.)
If you have it slotted on a character, you can run the race on that character next year for the Storr and you can have another character do the race for the 2019 ship and unlock them both.
If you don't slot the project before it ends, you'll be at the mercy of the horrible odds of the Phoenix Box if you ever want this ship. This is your one and only chance to unlock it account wide.
I havent slotted the project AND i wont. Getting lobi to do it will end up more expensive than its worth. Getting it in phoenix boxes again is also way too expensive to even bother, tried that twice in the last year, both times ended up quite defeating.
Who wouldn't want this ship????? Come on: Maw of Gre’thor....giant flames busting out your ship's rear end when in full throttle.....it is just multitudes of humor waiting to happen!!!!!
This may be the ONLY star ship trait I am going to slot on my BoPs. Just for the giggles!!!! LOL!

I like this event as some old bugs have returned. The race is now far more interesting now the snnowmen can attack you when you're trying to run around the course! Had it twice now in 2 days.
lol I love it when the snowmen go on the track when I'm running it thanks to my commando spec. Juggernaut system lets me knock down NPC's in my way, so I just bowl them over as I'm running the track.

It is interesting some players are seeing this. As I ran the Fastest Game on Ice, yesterday, on one of my characters and did not get attacked by the Snowmen. Even as I watched them come to life on the edges of the race course!

i have a fleet member, who is paralyzed from his neck down . plays with special equipment. he can do it.
i was expecting actually for this year a easter egg. like when we run the track in opposite direction and still beat the NPC running in regular direction. we would get 400 papers in one run ^^

Congrats . Yep, it's too late for this year, but just slot the project and finish next year.
Also the more you collect this year the less you'll need to grab next time.
