Admiralty - factional Ship card access

tilartatilarta Member Posts: 1,799 Arc User
I couldn't find a section in the Feedback subforum specifically for Admiralty, so decided it was best to post this in general discussion instead.

One of my long term problems with doing Admiralty on my Starfleet Aligned Romulan is the lack of Engineering specific ships:
RSshiplist02_zpscpw0eqsj.png

I keep thinking, what if I had this or that Starfleet vessel (all the ones accessible to my Starfleet captain!), then this assignment would be easier to complete.
Or meet the requirements in the first place.

So it occurred to me that Romulans should be granted access to the ship cards connected to their factional allegiance if that ship has been unlocked via C-Store.
In my case, it would mean I could claim all the Starfleet vessels currently unlocked on my account as ship cards.

It does make sense from a certain point of view, that they're overseeing Starfleet operations in the area and sending information to allied ships about what problems need solving.

Since Admiralty doesn't open up until Level 60 and presumably after one has completed all of the Episode Missions, therefore being part of the Alliance, I think, regardless of Faction, one should be able to claim the Admiralty cards of ANY ship one owns from the C-Store. This would solve many of the problems that Klingon and Romulan players have with their Admiralty rosters as far as number of ships to use in general and lack of career focused ships like Science ships.

they can do that AFTER they figure out a way to make it so you can claim the cards from ships you own without needing to also claim/dismiss the ship itself, so they can all be claimed in one go and in a few minutes instead of chunks and 3 hours later

Oh, indeed! Amen to that. Well, the Assimilated Assault Cruiser and the Phoenix (if one was able to claim those for your Account) are in the Promotions Tab. Perhaps they could put a Reclaim Tab(?) in the C-Store, or even in the Admiralty UI itself, that would allow players to claim their Admiralty cards without commissioning the ships. As long as the ship has been commissioned on any character on an Account, the Admiralty card would go there to be claimed by any character on the same Account. I mean, if we can Account unlock Event Ships, surely this is something that could be done, too.

They should put the cards by the Dil Store's window of Reclaim. I had to reclaim 2 C-store ships (after making room in my spacedock) because, once again, the cards just disappear from my list. This has been happening for a long time. It's very annoying.

A couple of problems with using ship cards less then T4:

    1. I want the ships with ratings of 60-70, so that's T5 and higher.
    2. I haven't purchased many ships below T5, so I wouldn't get them as cards.

Depending how one "plays" the system, I've found the lower tier ships are quite useful to fill in those last few points of a
mission without wasting to much in overkill, or standing in to clear an undesired mission rather than use a "pass".

    1. keep an eye out for giveaways and cheap mirror ships on the exchange.
    2. it isn't too hard to grind enough dil to get zen for the lower tiers. annoying and a little boring but not hard.

I stand corrected on the first matter. The only ship cards automatically claimed for your Admiralty roster are the ones in your ship roster. That doesn't necessarily reflect every ship that you've purchased from the C-Store or unlocked via an event, though.

They should just remove all the faction restrictions completely, since we're all the same Alliance now.

And yeah, the cards could be claimable without juggling the ships themselves. Although I do see some value in an option of not doing that, since having the card serves as a handy reminder which ships I've already done the traits on.

How much admiralty do you want to do in a day, what you've got there should easily do 3 rounds?

You can always throw some ec at the consolation prize ships like APU, mirror ships etc.

One run for CCA, research lab dil + admiralty gets you pretty close to 8k a day without having to engage with the game, not relly sure theres much need for more and more cards.

Those ships don't even cover 1 days worth of Admiralty for one factional alignment.
Most of it's to do with random rotation, I keep getting the wrong assignments instead of the chain assignments.
It's common for me to fill up all 8 slots and not see the chain mission appear at all.
Or to get to slot 7 and run out of ships, which happened yesterday.

Zdenia, Hegh and Tanius (not pictured) have to be held back for the chain mission, so they're not available to use.

Most, if not all of the assignments I do have high success requirements, requiring no less then 2 ships and sometimes even 3.
I think it would be important to at least try and get the reward, instead of 7-8 failures and putting all my ships on maintenance for no prize acquisition.

Honestly, with the Admiralty system... you shouldn't toss ANY of your leveling ships until AFTER you unlock the Admiralty System, and thus get the cards for those ships.

Don't save ships for the chain, just bang through the missions and keep them turning over, and use pass tokens - its very easy to find you're sat on 50 of them. If you run out of passes you can always setup a probable fail just to get get closer to the next important one and the next lump of 30k dil.
