Maybe if I file a ticket every time it happens, and they get spammed with about 20 a day, they'll look into it.

I've had this same problem for probably about a year. I've gotten an entirely new computer, reinstalled the game, tried it on other computers. Always the same result. Sometimes I can't log in for 15min because of this. My brother lives in the same house, has never had this happen. He also has an identical computer.

I've had this problem for a long time. Many months, maybe a year. It seems to happen most during what I would expect to be prime-time (evening, late on weekends, etc). I don't know why it happens, but I continue to try and eventually I get in.0

You mean, your code repository systems don't play victory tunes upon bug fix submission? At the very least, your management should play it over the intercom or something. You should bring this up at your next meeting with your boss. That kind of feedback is important for software people! we rarely get anything else. :(

This happens every time I 'zone' on my character Fuze@Spots, when using the Scryer. Other ships seem to be unaffected. Just to add a 'me too' to this. Have the same bug. No matter what color I select in the ship editor, ships always have some sort of dark grey/black paint job. I can change patterns, but not colors.
