  • I've been interested in it since seeing this article showcasing a guys pirating run http://www.themittani.com/media/getting-there-eventually-privateering-elite-dangerous and as it stands, if it can deliver that quick ship combat casually, it'll likely replace STO as my casual space combat game.. It is more complex then…
  • They did the best job offering both space and ground. While they may not be the best at either, they are about the only ones that offer both fairly well. They did do space battles right... manual piloting, managing shield facings, and firing arc's work very well, and space battles in STO are the top of the genre from an…
  • to me that is a draw, the point of sandbox games is that it plays different for everybody..... 1 guy got to experience winning this ship and selling it for 1B, another got to experience spending 1B on a ship and losing it, and a small group of pirates got to experience taking out the most unique ship in the game - while…
  • STO players are use to - spend what you got to get the new shinny, and deck it out with top end stuff = win.... you do that in eve you're going to blow all your money on one ship and be the biggest shinniest target for 12 jumps out. it does take a lot of restraint to learn to fly what you can afford to lose.
  • CCP just released a new trailer for Eve online, and it has shot up their player base by about 500 new trial characters per hour... many of those could be frustrated STO players looking for a change, i suspect if that's the case then you can expect too see many returning after their two weeks are up as they flee in terror…
  • Spore is a pretty fun one, but once you're in space, you stay there.
  • http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8CK-KwMcG9A pretty much anything from Otep fires me up.
  • that's only a problem if you try to bling out your ship like people do here, if you fly what you can afford you don't mind the losses, because the wins make up for it.
  • getting into the big Sov warfare fights have been some of my best times in any game. it's a great feeling to be a part of such a huge (unscripted) operation when they go right, and I had alot of help getting there. I'll be the first to say I know little about most of how fittings work, but they had a doctrine for me to…
  • Don't think my Nx-01 can stand up to that on elite.
  • the antics of the bombers bar isn't anything different then what our alliances bomber fleets do on normal days (but then we get to also join up in 1,000+ player battles for control of our systems), they just stayed a part of npc corps so they couldn't get set to low standings and always appeared neutral. the stealth bomber…
  • my Rommie owns all with the vet ship - <edit, for some reason it only posted part of my response> my fed eng does pretty good with her T-5u intrepid - I also have 2 lvl 50 alts with the defiant and gal waiting to start their upgrades - i expect them to to be usefull
  • I sneezed so hard that I Shatnered in my pants when i was there.
  • essentially yes but I wasn't envisioning it as a small box, but more in the way of how the whole thing works as a daily mission and dil pay outs... simplest implementation I can think of would be a daily quest requiring you to set off a disco ball (5 times)on the dance floor at C47 ( Droz, Nimbus, and Quarks dance floors…
  • you don't need to use a Sci captain to fly a Sci ship... my mains are a sci captain that flies a mirror cruiser, a Eng that flies a T-5U Intrepid, and Rom Tac that flies T-5u vet ship - all of which top out in PvE, and carry positive K/D in PvP.
  • A Dabo table wouldn't fit in a federation star base, it's all about the greed where as they are not. I could see a " dance, dance revolution" style mini game, using wasd or arrow keys working there though and paying out Dil equal to the dil mine - based on your score, can do it 5 times daily, max 1k dil. - it wouldn't take…
  • I started this thread to get a discussion and interest going in order to engage the dev team to experience what power creep has done to PvP. if they don't play it against players, they don't see the problems there and won't have the proper insight to address it properly. not so you could lob personal attacks at branflakes.…
  • judging by the general tone of prejudice in your post, and dentals antics and crass nature - i doubt the ribbing was good natured.
  • It would get the core group of asshats in E.A. out, or at least spread them out a little and mixed in with more competent people... after what they did to Sim City and Sims 4, I will never buy anything associated with them again. just like i haven't bought anything associated with Attari after they rushed, then cut and ran…
  • My main Rom flies the vet ship upgraded to T5U - with the three piece borg deflector, shields, engine , and the rom 3 piece beam, torp, console - with polaron damage weapons and boost consoles (3 24%+) - it handles itself well in any PvE it's gone through, and has about a 2:1 kill to death ratio in PvP.
  • you can buy PWE cards at any walmart and go around steam all together.
  • dude this day and age collage girls open their legs for every erection pointed in their direction, they're more likely to let you get up close and personal with their cervix then tell you what their favorite color is, - it has replaced hand shaking as a means of introducing ones self on most campuses.
  • there are many things that are linked to your class 1- which skills you can train Boff's in are linked to your class. asci captain can't train a tac Boff. 2 - which skills you unlock for yourself are linked to your class, an engineer won't ever have photonic fleet. 3 - some missions have little side quests that are class…

  • You get extra marks for closing rifts, getting the power on and pushing the station to level 5, and keeping damage on the station low.... so yes it does matter - it's the best payout source for romulan marks.
  • The Ramen I made to run with my navy friend when he's not deployed carries pistols... in part for looks, but mostly because I use different "personality traits" to keep each alt unique... I haven't seen much difference in performance. all in all I would say that if you want to even out usage, then make the base DPS for all…
  • I started getting my second day one character ready to upgrade to 60, and come up with a few more.... I've been here so long, I still have blueprints from the vault shuttle mission I've been here so long, I only ever used my cover shield to block people in the halls of K7 I've been here so long, that my party popper drops…
  • the question is, why would you need to level 10+ B'rels? I have 10 characters as well, not a single one of them flies the same ship as any of the others. - if you just have 10 clones of the same captain for dil farming and what not, then guess what - you should have to level them all up individually.
  • they already do sell E.C. - buy zen, get a key, sell it on the exchange
  • elite people like to brag about being elite - let em Mark's twards new trophies for the captains office and 10 forward, .... maybe even new emotes, dances (endzone dances!), costume piece's, etc....
