Those numbers look like it's the stock CPU cooler. Then 45-70ish is totally fine. But I didn't see that OP uses water cooling. Now I think OP might have overclocked too much/wrong, and that's what causes the PC shutdown. Good point @salvation4

It only touches events that have a ship as reward. So Anniversary, Winter and Summer Event. As I understood it it goes live with this years Summer Event, so in about two days depending on where your are on the globe.

Arc Defender is nonsense as it just replaces one vulnerability with a different one (and it's one that PWE has no control over). Instead of your Arc password being the weak spot it's now your eMail password... I fail to see how this makes anything safer.

I switched to Win 10 shortly after it released and I didn't have any issues running STO on it. If you have problems it is most likely connected to your graphic card driver.
