Now that the body piece I use has been fixed, I feel like showing off a little. For my Romulan captain, I wanted something sleek and professional-looking. I've always liked black as a base for that; with a little bit of proper trim, it almost always seems to result in a nice, respectable and snazzy uniform. The Romulan…
I don't think it's a "bug" so much as an "error". It was introduced during the same patch as the Romulan Veteran jackets, one of which looks a lot like a modified version of Republic Uniform 1. What I suspect happened was they started with that uniform as a base, then accidentally saved a change or two to the model without…
Well, believe it or not, the shade isn't as much of a problem as you'd expect. In the short term, at least, space is actually a very good heat insulator in and of itself. The reason you get cold is because your body is passing on that heat to the surrounding air, the ground, etc. etc.; whereas in space, there's nowhere for…
You are incorrect. We are working on the technology for skintight space suits. It's coming along nicely, but it's not ready for primetime yet. There are still a number of issues that need to be solved, chief among them maintaining tension in the right areas of the body (they're based on the principle that the human skin is…
Also, I'd like to add that I feel like a complete idiot for forgetting the word "lapel". It's the lapel, the jacket fabric continues up past the lapel in a way it really shouldn't.
I'm just checking in to say I'm still getting the error from my last post. Crashing out at the Cryptic splash screen, being told the connection to the patch server for on-demand patching was "idle too long". I don't use on-demand patching.
I'm getting the same error as this guy. I can actually log in through the launcher just fine, but when I load up the game it hangs on the big CRYPTIC logo for a while, then I get that. Here, have a screencap. http://i.imgur.com/3nfEL1e.jpg For reference, I'm in Southern California, also using Verizon. So yay for that.
I'm having this same issue with my Orion captain. I edited one of her two bare-legged costumes to include a visor I bought on Risa, and her legs disappeared. The other keeps trying to do the same so I can't edit it. And I know it's not just on my end, because all my friends see nothing between my waist and ankles too.
That worked! Thanks. Seems a bit silly for them to do that, though. It's pretty much a complete reversal of their standard "the green option advances things, all others are flavor" format.
