Romulan Republic Uniform 1 bugged?

I'm not sure if it's a bug or just an ill-advised change, but the Romulan Republic Uniform 1 top has been altered, and it's definitely for the worse.

This is a screenshot I had on hand from a while back:

This is a screenshot of (more or less) the same uniform, which I literally just took for this thread. Same place, even.

Note the... I'm not sure if you'd call it the collar? But where the jacket is folded over, the grey area. Notice how in the more recent one, the jacket material continues up past that.

Looks terrible, doesn't it?

    Seconded. It's a great looking uniform, but right now there are some serious clipping/texture issues whenever a female character is wearing it.

    I was hoping tonight's stated veteran uniform tweaks might fix it (considering it was the introduction of the veteran uniform that broke it) but we'll have to wait and see.

    Patch did not fix. Gonna file a bug report.

    And yet another patch goes by. Uniform is still messed up.

    But you got more detail on the shoulder pads...;)

    Okay, so I just checked my Reman. She has two outfits that use that jacket. Neither have the problem. Hmmmm...

    Also, I'd like to add that I feel like a complete idiot for forgetting the word "lapel". It's the lapel, the jacket fabric continues up past the lapel in a way it really shouldn't.

    The Romulan Republic 1 top is bugged. This was seen/reported on Tribble back on 07/16, and it arrived borked to Holodeck on with the 07/25 patch.

    Here's a pre-bugged view, I took on Holodeck 07/16:

    The clipping encircled for emphasis. It appears as though they've added another layer of shirt (like part of the undershirt from the Romulan Republic 2 top) and it's clipping. It's really disturbing to me, as the RR1 uniform was my favorite, and I have my whole crew in matching outfits. It used to look really neat on my away team. Now not so much. Honestly, I've not been playing my Rom as much because of it.

    Yeah, I'm with HOLY TRIBBLE LORD VETINARI Lord Vetinari on this one. I'm proud of that uniform of mine up there, but now it bugs me to no end. :<

    That's not an extra layer they added: it looks like LOD that doesn't go away or something. The texture on that bugged area's lower res and somewhat enlarged, so it's DEFINITELY a bug an not an addition to the uniform. It should be fixed ASAP, IMO, TYVM.

    I don't think it's a "bug" so much as an "error". It was introduced during the same patch as the Romulan Veteran jackets, one of which looks a lot like a modified version of Republic Uniform 1. What I suspect happened was they started with that uniform as a base, then accidentally saved a change or two to the model without realizing.

    Personally I don't care if it's considered a bug, error, flaw, failure, fault, or kerfuffle. I just want them to fix it.

    It really is an annoying bug; it's such a good looking uniform otherwise. :(

    Aye. It's one of the few uniforms I can apply without needing to edit anything :P

    Nope. It doesn't earn them a profit, so it's never ever ever going to get fixed. :(

    That Romulan uniform looks so cool. Shame about the bug. Hope it gets fixed soon.

    The problem was noted by the community and bug-reported back on Tribble in mid-July before the broken patch reached Holodeck.

    They know about the issue. It's just too low of a priority for them to have fixed these last few months or for the foreseeable future.

    It's still nice to see a response on the subject, though I'd much rather Cryptic would reply to these sort of issues in their own forums rather than on Twitter. The Bug and Art forums are a Dev-Ghosttown.

    He's been saying the team is investigating for ages now.. same old story.

    I don't expect this to get resolved anytime soon, and its pretty sad, thats the type of mentality I have now with this game... they obviously "to me/my view" don't care. Anything that really does get fixed is anything that gets them money, such as cstore items. If something is reported.. they actually do get it fixed within 1-2 patches.

    But on a brighter note I guess.. I still have hopes to get this thing fixed some time or another :P

    Just wanted to bump this up for info,

    They finally have fixed it, its on the tribble notes. Took a whole season to fix but its fixed.. so when ever s8 hits live we should have a fix *dances*
