Lol I just ran into the same problem, came into check on a Lifetime account I've not used in a year only to find Perfect World like most of the trash they put out can't even run an email server with any competence. xD
Interesting that the FPS issue is not being addressed at all or even acknowledged. Also the mission breaking bug in Undine Assault has not been mentioned either. The "Known Issues" section is about 1/100th the size it ought to be. :o
Lol, well done Cryptic. As ever with every season you always manage to deliver more bugs than you do features... "working as intended" So 5 players 30 minutes of time was wasted because you cannot fix a mission breaking bug before launch... even when it was an issue on Tribble. I remember the time when pathing on NPC was…
Hilarious I am experiencing this bug as we speak. How can a bug that was known during Tribble testing still be an issue upon release. Typical from Cryptic. :o
I've been experiencing severe lag and rubber-banding since Sunday, I have confirmed that some other people in Europe are experiencing the same. Our old friend Cogentco seems to be the culprit once more:
Lol the game mechanics aren't my "opinion" they are fact. My opinion does not coerce Cryptic to buff/nerf elements every month, nor did my opinion poorly design the Aquarius. These things are self evident reality. Your erroneous attribution of reality as being a facet of my opinion is irrelevant :o
Starfleet Academy was never a multi player game with PvP implementation, the acting was also terrible but I enjoyed and if we're going down that route 25th Anniversary and Judgement Rites did space combat quite well for 2D. My point is that games like Homeworld (multiplayer) or EVE (MMO PvP) were built well from the start…
Lol to be honest if he can't kill an Oddy in a BoP then he's doing PvP all wrong. :o As for "real captains", many players have captains in all the factions, often choosing to use their KDF or ROM characters to use for PvP because they have the better ships for it.
I don't have an e-peen :D, I don't even PvP in this game because PvP by the designers own admission is unbalanced and broken, poorly designed and suffers from a continual merry-go-round of nerfs and buffs. I do enjoy the stories I hear from my friends who do PvP here of which 99% of those stories are about vaping hapless…
You PvP in a KDF battlecruiser...!? maybe what they say is right... :o It takes a special kind of intellect to pick the worst ships to play PvP in, I mean obviously as I said before Fed ships are so bad in PvP that many of the better players use their KDF characters for PvP exclusively, of course they actually choose the…
Lol what a total pile of trash, as are the rest of these comments about PvP. The reality is the KDF has always had better ships and an advantage in PvP, it was designed to be PvP only at one point. Just go to Kerr'at if you look at the stats for it and if you listen to anyone in KDF PvP fleets you'll know that Feds are…
There are other channels they are often invite only and are made up of some excellent players, the best way to start off though is with PublicEliteSTF. If you're really good someone in there will notice you and invite you to one of the more exclusive channels.
Being a new player you won't know about all the things Cryptic have done over the years including bringing an alpha-state game to retail, even now the game itself is still in many areas essentially beta, or worse deprecated, like for example crafting. You see you won't have been around for the time when in Season 7 they…
Cryptic are still pretty bad, but they've improved a lot since Stahl left, in terms of actual speed of production at least. Can't say I'm super impressed with anything they've produced thus far and end-game is still pitifully formulaic but it's better than what was happening before. I do find it hilarious though how back…
Well it'd be nice if there as a greater chance of Very Rare MK XII loot drops as rewards on the grounds, I know that I'd be far more likely to play them if there was a 1 in 5 chance of picking up loot I could sell for 1Million EC or more, especially if EC is going to be an input for Reputation now. Of course an oversupply…
I've been through several iterations of the endgame reputation in my time here, for me there has been no improvement the time and dilithium sinks introduced in Season 7 kept me away from the game for a year, I came back a few weeks ago and now they want to change the system again... this time however I like the change in…
Lol I'm bored it's late... that's when I start to get a little crazy and my neurons fire in odd directions :p People like me are so rare that the signifier of the sign/signified is lost to our common syntax :D
It's funny because they appeal to the same set of moral underpinnings as each-other, It's like viewing a Durer, Da Vinci and a Monet, the styles may be very different but the underlying beauty that draws the eye is the fabric on which all 3 are constructed. In other words, don't hate, appreciate.
I don't think anyone does really some people just like to create a manichean dialogue between the two in order to foster some kind of conflict laden debate or flame war. Most fans of sci-fi probably enjoy both, as for provenance they are both inheritors of culture in the Cold War era and the exploration of space that it…
As far as I can work out "The Force" is actually a form of energy communism. all life breeds energy that powers the force, it's just that some life is able to channel and manipulate that energy. "The Force" itself has no sentience and thus if it has power it has no concious ability to use that power. I've been looking at…
To be honest some parts of the game are still very much beta, there are bugs that have existed for a long time and finally yes they should invest in hardware redundancy if this has happened 3 times in the past year it should really be something they sort out.
