So, just to be clear, some one pulled a Sweeping Strikes for 2000 damage. How is that possible , the highest I've been able to get my Kick is 355(before crits), not saying that's the best, or even close (just started this after all), but what was she/he using? K, I'll bite, what are the melee/crit doffs?
Thanks all, one last bit though, what about survivablity? Sweeping Strikes/Lunge are so great I can pretty much just put a weapon on my back for the stats, but During Elite Missions I tend to get chewed up (currently using the Iconian set). How can I keep myself in the fight longer?
Spheres, no, if it takes me longer then 30 seconds to smash a sphere I hang my head in shame, and adding more, meh. I'm talking three cubes at once, that's what spawned this thread. Sadly I only got two science skills and I need both of them to heal my shield. Any other way to jam or polarize?
I tend to not bother with attack patterns (baring Alpha which all Tac Officers have), but I use Polarize Hull on my Tank. Can't believe I didn't know it broke tractor beams, that should really help, thanks.
Guess I'm not the only one struggling with this. The shield drain alone doesn't matter. I can run and use my heals. The tractor beam doesn't mater I can power one facing while I unload; until they let go. Both at once sucks... but it's also decidedly Borg. They are suppose to be OP and there not doing anything they didn't…
Still looking for a Fleet of the non-take my stuff and say good day variety. Everything above is still true and valid, save for my DPS being even more redonkulous in direct proportion to my obsession with it.
90% I thought STO's diminishing returns system made numbers like that imposable. Even using just one armor console doesn't give me what it says on the tin because of said diminishing returns. I wouldn't mind cartoonist levels of avoidance, but I think I'll still keep my resilient shield with layered armor to make sure that…
Thanks, I'll do that, though now I have a follow up question: Does the "Starship Impulse Thruster" skill increase defense at full speed or just how fast you can go and turn?
Resilient usually, I dislike having full shields and being insta-killed through them, same reason I layer armor. No Fleet though, way too many bad experiences... which is sad because I'd like some of that armor that lets you turn better.
Well I'm running a hit and run destroyer, so low-medium shield power, few shield heals (though I do dedicate my only science officer to shields) and my ability to heal others is... well non extant. So under those circumstances what's best?
I would like to learn more, but your website doesn't seem to work for me. Whenever I try to register it just erases haft my information and reloads the register page without any kind of indication that I got one of the fields wrong.
I tried that, but I got this message: Hello Captain! At this time, you may only post replies to threads that have already been created. After a certain amount of time has passed since your registration date, you will be able to create new threads in forums that allow it. Thanks, The Star Trek Online Community Team I…
I just tried an experiment where I had five Heavy Cannons and Dual Cannons mounted on my ship and it did seem like they didn't cause the others to cool down as well, but I can't be sure. Do Dual Heavy Cannons/Dual Cannons still cause a universal cool down of all other Dual Heavy Cannons/Dual Cannons or can I put as many as…
