  • Hirogen and Breen mobs are a little weird because they have very old abilities that don't behave like normal abilities, such as a cooldown debuff that cant be resisted or removed. It's a hangover from the very early game and both species NPCs could use a combat overhaul.
  • It's definitely you, buddy. Firstly, check what difficulty you're set to. If you're set to elite then that might be your issue. All content in the game is easily clearable with a baseline T6/T5U and purple Mk XII gear and a keybind so literally your only interaction with the game is to steer and spam spacebar. Including…
  • The single reclaim on the kar'tarkin is a terrible choice. You can't even outfit your away team on that character with them. Charging so much for a 5 level boost is also pretty offensive. I think the ship is gorgeous and I have several of the level boost legendary ships but this one feels like a bad deal.
  • You can't choose it as a campaign reward ship anyway.
  • Superior Creativity and Superior Photonic Lifeform make her pretty much top of the tree as a science officer for ground map DPS. Obviously your captain will do vastly more damage but as bridge officers go there really aren't better traits. She will be able to solo missions for you, basically, with a few good science AoEs.…
  • I really like the design. One of the better DSC designs (which I don’t universally hate but they’re far more hit-and-miss than the other shows). I’ve had a promo box gathering dust for a while and will finally use it for this ship. I don’t have any issues with the negative space or detached sections. That disbelief is no…
  • Run all of them every year.
  • Yeah this seems to be a new bug this patch - the detached nacelles no longer detach.
  • They should do these reruns once a year. Give new players a chance to get on the bandwaggon and allow older players who missed one to catch up. As has been pointed out, you don't have to do any event ever. Nobody has a gun to your head. And with the recruit events as has been pointed out you only have to complete the…
  • We'll find out soon but I anticipate account bound on pick up and character bound on equip. They want to preserve the market for lockbox shields (even if they are gonna depress it in the short term).
  • have to challenge one point. The purpose here isn't really to eat up dil reserves. It will do that. But it's really about getting more zen into the exchange. So that really means prompting people who don't have dil reserves to buy zen specifically to convert. I get that it's a subtle and nuanced distinction but making dil…
  • The most likely reality is that Wizards were unhappy with the state of the game and decided to pull funding and shutter the game rather than continuing to spend money at an ever increasing risk. Cryptic didn't bankroll M:L any more so than Chris Pine funded Star Trek: Beyond. Cryptic were hired to make the game and fired…
  • Your logic is fine but I suspect the changes will be limited to fixing up the tutorial missions and adjusting the goals to make them all achievable in the current mission set.
  • If the OP is suggesting that he doesn't put points into crit because it's unreliable then he's wrong. Not just a little bit wrong, but to the point of not understanding pretty basic maths. Crits are not unreliable, they're a certainty, and all you change is the frequency and magnitude. Not only that, but critH and critD…

  • The show specifies increased manoeuvrability. However I'll give you another reason: power efficiency. Wirelessly transmitting power from the primary hull to the nacelle through vacuum or near vacuum using an EM field (like a microwave or a laser) would be vastly more energy efficient than the established EPS plasma system…
  • This just isn't the case. Real world quantum levitation requires no power. So by real world analogues no power is required to maintain the connection. You could mess with the position, theoretically, by messing with the magnetic field. But a power failure would not cause the nacelles to float away. They'd stay in position…
  • Generally speaking spread is better for most builds in most situations. On an DEW build you’ll usually benefit from hitting as many targets as possible. On an anomaly build with plasma or gravimetric torps you mostly care about the plasma cloud or rift which is always triggered by either spread or high yield but spread…
  • You’ve basically described every single non-human species from TNG through Voyager.
  • The dil issue is as folks have pointed out that any given character has a limited need for dial but endless ability to generate it. There needs to be something worthwhile to keep spending dilithium on. If you look at most of the suggestions on, say, reddit they revolve around additions to the dil store or uses for dil that…
  • That swimwear has been in the game for ages. Retro swimwear bottom without the weird bondage harness top.
  • Your entire argument is undermined by the ability to physically sever a pylon and cause a nacelle to float away. The ship integrity field is irrelevant. Floating nacelles or detached nacelles, the appropriate damage could separate the nacelle from the hull. Floaties have the advantage in that their tether is not directly…
  • Even if you only want the ships it’s better to buy the bundle while it’s discounted. Buying the ships gets you 2 account unlock T6 ships. The bundle gets you 2 account unlock T6 ships with two individual ships effectively upgraded to fleet T6X. Even if you don’t want the other stuff, that’s still better than the example…
  • Once you’re resorting to ad hominem attacks it’s clear you no longer have a valid argument to make. Not liking aspects of DSC is not the same as having valid criticisms. But don’t come arguing against things in DSC that you’re selectively ignoring from the prior shows. Don’t come arguing physics without a good…
  • Why would any of those be an issue? None of the pieces are floating free. They’re all permanently attached. Just like with real-world demonstrable quantum effects. They are not loose, they are not disconnected. Action on one body affects the linked body as if they were a single object because physically they are a single…
  • These aren’t legendary ships. They’re plain old fashioned zen store ships. Even if you missed the fact that the word legendary appears associated with them not even once. They come with fleet modules. Legendary ships do not have fleet versions.
  • Ferengi we’re always comic relief. In their introduction in TMG they hide their faces because they’re so unimposing to enemies and they attempt to prostrate themselves as soon as a greater power is in play. They’re basically just space-Goblins. Ineffectual but malicious. It’s only in DS9 that they’re fleshed out enough to…
  • The bundle is worth over 10k zen purchased individually (there’s fleet modules and upgrade tokens, two ships, and the three uniforms). So 7500 zen is a great price if you want the items. 4800 or whatever the intro price is is more than a 50% discount when all is considered. If you don’t want the items then obviously the…
  • Wireless power transfer is a real thing and through vacuum is far more efficient than power transfer through a physical medium (conduction, plasma, etc) so getting power to detached nacelles is cheaper and less wasteful. It could be done with microwaves, lasers, basically any EM field. You can buy a unit for wirelessly…
  • That’s not actually logical at all. You’re presuming that all other factors are equal. That they had the same opportunity and weren’t working on other things that were higher priority. You’re assuming the T6 Nova could have been ready in time even if they wanted to. You’re assuming that they could line up a new ship…
  • You are not with a straight face suggesting prior series of Trek had any better a grasp of any of these physical principles because that’s either wilful ignorance or intellectual dishonesty. TOS contradicts its own internal science from episode to episode. TNG is not much better. Neither has any root in real physics.
