My issues started after yesterdays patch. Gets to the cryptic loading screen and freezes up. I have to do a hard reboot of my PC . Have to do a force verify several times to get it to actually launch.

For those that get the black screen of never ending loading, do a forced file verification. Open up options on the launch screen and you will see a check box to force verify, check it and let it check the files again.
