Same here. I picked up STO again a couple of weeks ago, after not having played for over three years, and the main reason for that was not having the time. Discovering the RAs, and the rewards they offer, was a great way to play a short 20-30 minute game, and feel like I was progressing my character. Sure, if I had more…
Just wanted to repost a bugged situation I encountered after yesterday's patch: After the patch yesterday, I entered an advanced queue for the CE, and the mission objectives appeared so I figured that the mission was OK this time. But when the CE got to about 40% health, the options for which Marks rewards we wanted came…
After the patch yesterday, I entered an advanced queue for the CE, and the mission objectives appeared so I figured that the mission was OK this time. But when the CE got to about 40% health, the options for which Marks rewards we wanted came up, but the mission didn't complete, and we weren't given the shard as a reward.…
Ah, so it does, thanks. I was getting a "504 Gateway Error" message when I checked it, and I figured they'd moved the RSS feeds to a new URL or something. Cheers.
Thoroughly looking forward to this year's Winter Event. I sometimes think that people take this game far too seriously sometimes, so it's always fun to get away from all the seriousness and have a bit of a laugh!
Stupid question alert: I'm one item away from completing the event that's been going on over the last three weeks or so - will it still be running when maintenance is complete? I need the shotgun, yo! :D
I haven't mentioned what I think about the new versus the old yet. I've not played it enough to have much of an opinion. I do know that I hadn't been to Memory Alpha in about three years though, so it's nice to do something crafting-related.
I'm not saying it makes any difference. I'm just saying I'm confused about why people seem to complain about certain things, and then complain about the exact opposite things when Cryptic rolls out an update. Like with levelling up: lots of people say it's too easy to level up a character in XP, commendation categories,…
So, people complain when they level everything up too quickly, and then complain when Cryptic fix bugs that are exploited to make players level up too quickly? You can't have your cake and eat it - either you want the game to last a while because you actually have to PLAY it, or you take away all of the grind and go from…
Agreed. I've found that a lot of these events have no explanation at all about how to actually accept the mission, or how and when to play it. I love these events, but we really need more info about how they work! The majority of people have to look it up in the forums.
I liked the event too, although I too had trouble with the sandcastle thing. There needs to be more spaces on the beach to build them. I also noticed when doing the Horgahn Hunt that they didn't show up on my minimap like they did last year, so I had no idea where the artefacts were! Other than that, I like it. I didn't…
Well I've only been in it a few minutes, but I couldn't find any sand castle spots, and during the Horga'hns hunt thing, there were no map highlights of where the artifacts actually were. I do love the floater things though, and only having to pay 40 pearls for each ship after you've bought your first one is awesome.
So is this new Space Dock the reason we can launch Holodeck, Tribble *and* Redshirt in the launcher at the moment? Or is this just part of a bigger update that I've not heard about?
Well thanks for the tips everyone. It looks like I used the bonus XP weekend for completely the wrong purpose. Even so, I only had time to get to level 24/25, so at least my poor Rommie will level up appropriately now. It was certainly good for level 50 chars with no Expertise (but I honestly don't know how people get in…
