Strange you should mention this, my wife's laptop keeps losing wifi at present yet my desktop is always connected whether by ethernet or wifi. Yet running troubleshooting through windows reports that no issue can be found, each time the only solution is to manually put the device in flight mode then return it to wifi mode.

Not seen it mentioned (or my eyes are too tired) but under the personal tab for DOFF missions there are several missions such as "Refrequence Shield Emitters" which if they give a critical success also provide a BUFF to your starship or player - these missions tend to have green text somewhere in the description.
