Wellp, looks like I fixed it. Somehow, my motherboard's OC Genie got turned on - though I have no idea how. Apparently it's not very good at voltages, so turning it off and restarting seems to have fixed the issue. Go me.

Just to make sure it isn't my build (I've been known to make stupid mistakes) I just tested my heavily modded Skyrim for a couple hours, and it's been rock solid. From memory, I don't think I'm using DX11, as the ship model errors kind of get to me - but I don't have an easy way to check, given that it doesn't tell you…

It's already set to only run for essentially Windows processes. Damn, got my hopes up and everything. EDIT: The odd thing to note regarding the potential issues with 6xx cards, is that the card I was having trouble with previously was a 560 Ti. I wouldn't think I'd find that issue across generations like that.
